What a wonderful reaction to 4 of Angelina's songs. She did write all 6 on the EP. She was asked recently how many songs has she written. She said around 100. She just needs to put music to them they way she wants certain songs to sound. Remember she was already writing songs at 10. So this is going to be an amazing journey we'll be on listening to Angelina. Glad you love her EP and are going to buy it. Tell people you know about it and her. I would describe it as her voice maturing, whole voice being unlocked. So a lighter, higher, playful soul is available now that we are now getting lots of 😊. Because for sure she was always mature and soulful in sound. But now she can even try and sound cute, try and sound younger or lighter. Amazing EP for sure 😊❤ and amazing reaction guys. I am so proud of this young lady. This EP is so amazing, her lyrics at another level and then to add those beautiful vocals, just superb. I pray she gets the recognition she deserves during awards season. There not a ho-hum song in the group. And yes, she is awesome!

It's interesting because to me this ep is layered with so much deep Soulful R&B and Urban lyrical rhymes that she's never done. I've never seen her do songs from songs from Nicki Minaj Drake or any of the R&B performers out there. And then bang this ep drops and it's so retro Urban cool and lyrically complex. This is absolutely some of the best music come out this year.

In live-stream she was asked how many songs she have made and she answered over 100! And this is only 6 of them. We are all in for a treat. I voted for her win in 2014 (she got 46% of all votes given in the final) and i am now so glad i did so the world can see how incredible she is as an artist. Saw her live last summer and she gave me the best concert i have witnessed. I have seen Springsteen, Rolling Stones, A-ha, Kiss etc. but nobody moved me like she did. I hope the world embraces her like i feel she embraces us when she sings to us... And she is only 17.5 years old.

I love that drum roll that punctuates the "Fire and Rain" portion.....and that R-ay-ayn. You love that soul in her voice---yes, we all. IT could be Oslo and her upbringing there. "Diamond." Yes! "Bunch of cuteness", as an Internet user once so rightly said, when she sang at 8, "What A Difference A Day Makes" at 10, "My Funny Valentine" at 11, "The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face" at 12, "Every Time We Say Goodbye". She is now, at 17, a tall, pretty young woman. Her musical talent is intact. She is a musical prodigy I’ve never heard any artists in my life to have the talent and skill level that she has and she’s had this since she was three years old. I am 57 years old, and this girl touches my soul and she sings from her soul, and there’s an older person in her soul that sings through her. She’s been writing her own music since she was 11 years old and she learned to do her own arrangements . To my knowledge she did not come from musical family as far as a famous musical family where they practice, and they were trained, and they had the vocal machinery to refine their voices. She is just raw talent. She is a prodigy that cannot, and will not be duplicated or replicated. They can compare her to different artists, but she has that extra edge that defines her And creates her sound unlike any other. I’m not bashing any other entertainer, but this young lady is a prodigy❗️ this is my opinion🥹🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🫠

Good job kids. Danilo here, a long time sub and an Angel from Rome Italy who saw her live last year in Kongsberg. Your comments were all spot on but your body languace said all better than your words. Young lady, I saw you on the verge of tears in every song. I think that her Lyricism is par, to say the least, to that of an Oxford, Cambridge, Eton,Harward ..so on and so forth, college professor. She'd shame many of them. Remember, English is her 2nd languace. The issues she tackles in every song she writes are quite "common" in song writing. Love hate, betryal, trust, faith, self improvement, pain, loss ( did I miss something?).The "big" difference though is in the way she goes through the dictionary finding new, unusual, somewhat unespected words to perfectly express any given feel of each song. She can do any kind of music genre there is. She has already. We know. In Diamond she raps. For Gods sake!!!! You kidding me? She's Jazz,Blues, Funk, RB, country, even Opera( her falsetto in Unchained melody). Now she's adding a poppy upbeat to address the youngsters. She's creating her own genre. The perfect blend of a jazzy,bluesy heritage( thanks Grandma Meri) with a modern, catchy, pop sound that, according to " everybody " I've heard, should be Top of the Charts on any radio in the world. We've followed her since she was 18 months old. She's been honeying her craft since then. Now she's Old Enough. " Brush that fear right off my shoulder. I told ya now I'm 'bout to show ya... Get my point? ❤

Guys, thanks for this awesome set of reactions.This amazing young artist has put together an EP that is a classic from beginning to end. Each song can stand alone but there is a continuity woven throughout that is a testament to her song writing and story telling ability. It is an amazing piece of work and your wonderful reactions certainly did it justice. I will be in the Music Hall in Portsmouth, NH in September and am eagerly awaiting the opportunity to see Angelina perform live. She is without a doubt on her way to join the pantheon of the greatest artists of all time.

Nice to hear more and more people catch the Lauryn Hill vibes in All My Fault! First time I heard that song, Angelina floored me and got my head spinning back to the 90's, her with the Fugees and the song Killing Me Softly,, and The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill album. That tune you were singing a bit of? It was called Doo Wop (That Thing) from the Miseducation album! Overall, Angelina's EP is just incredible. This is one of those rare times where EVERY song on a EP is really good, but then again, it's Angelina! Just from this EP, you can tell she's been listening to a lot of different songs, not just jazz. It's like she's creating her own sound, the AJ sound! Part Jazz, R&B, Soul, and Retro Pop. A couple of tidbits from her Online Listening Party the other day, it's a dream of hers to sing a song in Spanish, and, Republic Records is working on having her collab with some other singers as duets! So curious who they are aiming for!

You are so right my friends that she is her own. In my opinion she transcends them all with her being so down to earth and bringing back songs that actually means something and that is about life. There have been a lot of outstanding reactions to Angelina's new EP, BUT You guys just blew all the others out of the water! You caught so many of the little things she is doing with her voice and so many of the unbelievable phrases she throws in to all of the songs! I have listened to all of them over a hundred times each and I still am catching (hearing) things every time I listen that I had not caught before! She was the most amazing little 7 yo the first time I heard her 10 years ago, and has been amazing every time and every year since then. BUT, now she is "OLD ENOUGH"!! In this EP she has reached a new level of music mastery at 17 that very few if any other artist has ever accomplished at any age! I cannot imagine what she will do with music in the next 10-20 years!

Loved that you guys finally got to the EP. If you re-listen to Good in Goodbye, you’ll notice that the referenced of “being made by design” comes right after a line of mentioning how “comparisons will rob you blind” When I listen to this line, it seems that she’s addressing the constant comparison between her and Amy Winehouse. Please consider a re-listen and you will see what I mean ! ❤
