I don't know if I am right or not but IMHO, this beautiful girl -Angelina Jordan has a commitment with the world humanity ; like if someone from a higher step , above humans have compromise her to improve the human lifes behavior through her person. in order to help people to become better human been....just remember what she did at 6 year old ,supporting a poor child and making a commitment to her self to not wear shoes till children of the whole world have them. besides , her own compositions always speaks about love and hope, same as her covers. I am very sure that She is a gifted person , and that gift comes from the top.

Most of the time adults are learning children what life is all about. This is the other way around: a child (I think this is from 2019, so she was about 12 years of age) learning us what life should be all about. Until you read her BOOK you have no idea what you are dealing with. I read only excerpts of it and cannot get an English version, but it was straight out of her diary and let me tell you...You will get on your knees and thank God Almighty for this blessing we call Angelina Jordan...beyond a genius, composer, singer etc. She is a carefully crafted gift to the world with no time left to spare.

I love her lyrics and the formulation of the song, really this is a song that tells a lot about her ... this is the life of an 11 year old girl who manages to ask herself these questions by offering her answers and isn't so normal for a child of that age, and she leave us with the hope that she can always live her life with such awareness. 😊 😍 ... Hi Highly, as for her book, she has it at her online shop AND now you can download it in English. Ok its not cheap, but when you have read the book, I think you will feel as humble as I feel, and I am 61 yo. That is NOT prose of a 8 yo. Then you might understand that some of us think, that she has super high IQ and is emphatic. Because the thoughts and feelings she noted in her diary and brought into her book are shaking my soul. You need to check out the rehearsals for this album and accompanying concert with the Norwegian Military Band, it’s impressive the level of control she has over everything! By the way, “It’s Magic” is still appearing in the top 10 jazz albums on iTunes jazz chart. Remember, her grandmother is a noted poet as well as an artist, Angelina got it honest.

Yes, she composed the whole song. But, she is also a writter. At age 10 she had already write the book with the story behind why she does not perform with shoes on.

You should get a copy of her book published when she was nine based on her diary entries when she was six. There are also interviews of her where she reads from her diary. Her words at six are so beyond her age that is not conceivable That they were written by by a six year old child. She is far beyond our ability to imagine. Her empathy is overwhelming. Many say she cannot possibly emote the emotions that she is singing about. Her book proves them wrong.

It doesn't look like anyone else has said this, so, for the record: while she composed the music for the song (and wrote the lyrics, of course), it's not like she _orchestrated_ it herself. The credits in the CD linear notes say the music was arranged by Bjørn Morten Kjærnes (who, along with Lars Erik Gudim and Jarle Storløkken, arranged all the songs on the _It's Magic_ album for the military band Forsvarets Stabsmusikkorps).

Her writing is impressive. There is an interview from Norwegian TV she did when her book came out. She was 9. She discussed the well known story about meeting the girl in the Middle East, and then she shared something truly astonishing; she read from her diary entry from the day of the encounter. The thoughts put down on paper by that 6 year old girl brought tears to this old man's eyes. This girl embodies unconditional love for others that is decades beyond her years. I realized she was a “savant-level” genius when a Norwegian commenter was discussing the translation of her book “Mellom to Hjerter” (Between Two Hearts) to an English speaking commenter who had recently purchased her book. According to the Norwegian fellow, the entirety of the book reads like poetry (many direct translations of some of the passages are difficult), and its emotional content is often overwhelming. When Angelina wrote the book, she apparently was composing directly from her journal entries when she was six years old. Elsewhere, and at a later date, Angelina admitted to her fans, that she has been writing more than she had let on, and that much of her musical inspiration is taken directly from her journal. It wouldn’t be a stretch of the imagination to believe that much of the contents of the songs “Million Miles”, and “7th Heaven” are taken directly from her journal. She truly is an exceptionally intelligent and emotionally gifted human being. ♥️

BTW, excellent reaction. Although I wouldn’t have recommended viewing the Lyric video, your choice is a wise one. Angelina’s penchant for jazz stylings takes some liberties with pronunciation (some have referred to it as “singing in cursive”) and it wasn’t until watching your reaction that I truly listened to the words of “What is Life” and focused on their meaning. I dont know if she's a genius compozer but from what I've seen I surely believe her intelligence is above average. And her interests surely diverge much from usual kids. Ivan Mendez said in an interview she knew a lot more songs than him (he is more than ten years older than her). Its also worth noting while she has years of experience in singing and doing some re-arrangement for covers we've seen only five originals from here so far. She's only just beginning to publish her own songs, its a very early stage.
