This song is a mix of Mediterranean or more precisely Southern European music. First of all it is sung in Italian with a clear Neapolitan cadence in certain passages, the melodic parts recall the typical style of Neapolitan singers and the rhythm, while explicitly echoing Latin American music, also recalls typical rhythms of Southern Italian popular music, I think for example to the "taranta" (let's not forget that the Spanish dominated southern Italy for centuries). Finally, the accompaniment with wind instruments is very reminiscent of gypsy and Balkan music. In summary, I consider what was done with this song to be a brilliant operation. Compliments.
