My phone is locked in on the still version and everywhere I go I tell my friends (and strangers!!!!!), "You gotta listen to this!" EVERYONE, I mean EVERYONE is STUNNED when they listen to it. It's like they can't believe what they just listened to. Of course, I fill them in on a little data about her after the song is over. 🙂 I am starting to run into people who know who she is more than ever before so there is no question, things are starting to move ahead full blast. And this 'song of the year', 'Bad Valentine', will push her over the top! I'm so happy for all the people who will discover her in the next couple of months. Their lives will change. What a treasure for the world is Angelina Jordan! Here so much of what makes her special is on full display. Front and center is that rich, full, velvety, textured voice. Then there is the masterful singing, with a dazzling display of techniques, all used not to show off her ability but to make the song the best it can be. The patented "frybrato," the phrasing genius reminiscent of Sinatra, gorgeous perfectly controlled runs, and on and on. Then there is the emotion she brings to it. And of course she now has become an elegantly gorgeous young woman. And kudos to Toby Gad, for his beautiful arrangement, and for all he has done to introduce this hidden treasure to a whole new audience! Now that 8 amazing originals (including Old Enough EP of 6 songs) are all now jus foundation of her 'young legend' status...it will require a FULL album worth of material in this current awards cycle covering this next 10-11 months for Angelina to get properly recognized.
