Both were great players and it is safe to say that both women didn't fulfill their potential.Both should have won 10-12 grand slams but none of them won even 7 grand slams.

In Sharapova's case, she would have won 10-12 Grand Slams had she not struggled with ongoing shoulder injuries and serve inconsistency post-2008. On grass and hard courts the serve can be the difference between winning and losing. But I'm not sure if there are any other players to come back from major shoulder surgery and win two Grand Slams on their least favourite surface - so it's a testament to her determination and resilience that she achieved that.

Because of the Williams Sisters. They monopolized tennis with their very powerful strokes but in the end I had my doubts that they were not genuinely strong. They were aided by enhancements and well protected by the Tennis Association as they brought revenue every time they played. Believe me it’s all true!!!
