Our avocados here in California are at least $1.50 for one. And those are small ones that are little less than half of your avocado. We get our avocados from Mexico and I’ve never their “jumbo” avocados that big. Lucky you. 😀 I’ve never looked at the price of bananas but I’m guessing $2 to $3 for a bunch. We do not sell true yams in Californian chain grocery stores. Sad. We just eat so wrong here in America. Produce is a small expensive part of our grocery stores. Packaged processed foods are better on the budget so it is the main selling items and what we are being taught to cook for our families. I’m not sure why people flee to America. Your village is beautiful.

Upstate of New York (Countryside) been through the Carolinas well you get the ideal we have some beautiful places but like you said nothing comparison to that that is in Africa. I told my friends and folks this time when I go back to Africa I want to go to Mount Kilimanjaro. The best time to take the trips there is during our off-season the tickets are real cheap then you catch a round trip ticket sometimes less than $2,000 if you pay for the ticket in advance say like 6 months in advance you can do around trip for almost $1,600. And to go and stay for about a week if you stay in the city part take like $1,000 but now if you stay like in the (what we would call) suburbs which I would recommend you would get better deals for your money and the food tastes better well you know how it is here in the United States in the city, it's the same way as it is Mexico & Canada. I'm not going to tell you how much to take if you find a place to stay in the rural area but I will say this treat the people like family, okay well you know how family is here United States😂 so you want to treat them better than family because that is how they are going to treat you and you will have fun. We have a smaller breed of avocados here so we would need 2 for that amount - and I don’t think we get green banana often, but we have the sweet yellow breed. Dried beans are probably the cheapest! Any fresh produce here is expensive. Thank you for sharing 😻😻✨

@@nansubuga3253 I guessed that would be about the amount! In TZ I remember getting full plates of fresh food for 1500 TZS, which back in 2015 was about $1 CAD. To be fair though, the minimum hourly wage here is about $15 CAD, so that’s a meal for about an hour of work… and I know in Kenya and Tanzania it’s really hard to make enough to survive, so I’m sure that’s a bit better.
