I'm between this one and a Spes AP light 800n. Do you think the spes worth the price difference? Do you think the Angelo doesn't restrain your movements? And is it gets too hot?

Based on this SPES AP jacket's info on their website, I'd suppose it may have some more foam amortization on the front & bigger shoulder padding than Angelo jacket; while Angelo goes with plastic elbow protection, well-ventilated fabric on the back, it's stiff/tight while staying light. Angelo jacket doesn't restrain my movements, but of course protection (like chest, gorget, mask overlay) will add some restraining. I'd say Angelo isn't hot compared to most of jackets, but of course, after a few minutes of heavy sparring, you'll warm up in any case (at least it's bearable) - a thin sports T-shirt or tank top under & you're good. For sparrings with steel longsword or saber in Angelo, you'll definitely need additional plastic protection - at least forearms & breastplate. Keep in mind, back of the jacket is practically unprotected, but I guess it's your problem if you manage to get hit on your back 😅 Personally, I believe SPES doesn't worth that price difference. But if money isn't an issue, compare & consider all the points to decide what's best for you.

@@bohdantoporivskyi5747 I was looking the brigadier that is 350n, it`s the same style of the colonel supfen but I think with the 350n will get more breathable.

@@bernardofernandes4955 Keep in mind, higher N number doesn't mean it's warmer or less breathable. Just more puncture resistant, stiff, durable. The thickness of the jacket & its foam padding, material type, and presence of perforated/ventilated areas matter in terms of breathability.

Angelo jacket has a special perforated area on the back for better breathability and heat removal; while SPES AP Light jacket doesn’t. The micromesh internal lining seems to be the same. Angelo is 800N, SPES is 350N - so Angelo would be more puncture-proof. Angelo has built-in shoulder and elbow protection too (SPES only shoulder foams). However, you could add some more body amortization with foams in SPES jacket.
