I don't think he lip synced at all. They actually did this whole song live, but the TV show dubbed it by playing the orignal song over the live video.

Some of the original track was played over Tom's voice, but you can tell that he's singing for real around the chorus parts and towards the end of the song.

If anyone is against someone's personal growth, just because it doesn't benefit them or they'd prefer to stay in a specific mindset for years... which ultimately ends up being just never venturing outside of the music taste you developed in your teenage years... that hate and opinions hold absolutely no weight at all. All of the behind the scenes dialect and specifically why they split up is all out there in the public sphere. But if some still feel like things should of never changed then honestly just exposes their character. In short, Tom bought a bunch of new studio and musical equipment, he wanted to start venturing into creating a new yet specific sound ( *my personal op*, a move that usually turns great bands into legends, because those new sounds are what typically change the genre and keeps it moving forward) But Mark just wanted to continue making Blink music, and sticking to their specific sound... So yeah, Tom decided to bounce and focus on this new found soundscape. While Mark and Travis also went ahead and also created something amazing and gave fans a glimpse of what Blink could of continued being... At the end of the day, who really made their point after the split??? 😅 Mark and T only ended up dropping one album and eventually had to go back under the Blink name to survive while Tom and AnA only continued growing their fanbase and ended up with a solid catalog of album... 🤔 Still this is only my opinion, as far as that second part. The beginning of what I said pretty much tells what transpired behind the scenes.

For those of you who thinks he was lip syncing, he actually performed normally. That's why the chorus sounds so natural. Stupid Fuse put the studio track over most of the performance.

hey i have the Uk edition of We dont need to whisper and theres a live do it for me now recorded to a small audience and that sounds live however this doesnt its the original dubbed over the video. also listen to the part of this show when tom sings there is and then u can tell he is singing live. It's the 'Autotune' on his voice which is keeping him in tune. He's always needed it on record and he needs it live too. His vocals were always appalling live with Blink. I alway thought that Jerry Finn and Tom Lord-Alge desreved awards for making Blink sound so good on record.

the only reason tom sounds good live now...he uses a pitch corrector. when he strays of key a machine fixes it. so that theres no confusion.

Sounds like the cd version with a touch of reverb. If you have ever seen tom sing live before you know that he nevers sounds like the cd. Never. Oh plus the backup vocals being Tom's voice too when its showing the other guy singing....dead give away.

The instruments are live, the vocals are lip synced. You can see when Tom is supposed to be holding out "hold on, hold on to me" at the end of the song. The camera zooms in on him and he is mouthing the back up vocal line while you still clearly hear his voice holding out the long note. The vocals are way too perfect also.
