Tank fish and coral on point as usual I agree it is trial and error like most things in life ❤

Do you think your Emperor will be fine in your tank for its entire lifespan? If I recall you have a Reefer 750XL which gives dimensions of approximately 72” x 26” x 24”. Always loved the Goldflake and I would say Angels are my favorite fish by a fair bit as well, I do love some Butterflies as well. After that, Basslets (Gramma and Liopropoma), Hawkfish and Roundheads (Plesiops, Marine Betta). How long on a side note have you had your dwarf angels and your Tangs? Sorry for all the questions! And I totally agree on loving fish more than corals! Never understood the appeal of so many wanting to go full SPS and they’re like “but that means to keep nutrients down and water quality I need to have less fish”, the hobby so often is all about coral but fish is where it’s always been at for me.

@AbsoluteZero6714 Red Sea Reefer leaked last November. So I changed to a new 220 galon Planet Aquarium. The tangs and dwarfs I have had for several years. My adult Passer didn't make it through the tank leak. So I got the adult Emperor after I got this new tank up. I lost a few other wrasses, but that was it.

@@WRASSEREEFCHANNELSorry to hear about your Passer, it’s always hard to lose a cherished fish. Glad your new 220 seems to be thriving though. How often are fish lost during incidents like these and which wrasses did you lose? Also it doesn’t really make sense to me how a “standard” 220 prioritizes height over width. The standard 220 is 72 x 24 x 30 which has the same footprint as a standard 180, but 72 x 30 x 24 gives the same volume with a bigger foot print. Unless it’s tanks 300+ gallons I don’t get height above 24-25”. I don’t understand why some prioritize height over footprint. Like a 90-gallon could be 48” x 20” x 22” or 48” x 22” x 20” but the standard 90 is only 18” wide. Also I don’t get why 105-gallon tanks aren’t a standard: 48” x 24” x 22” as it’s literally just 2 inches shorter than a standard 120. Just putting it out there, it’s kind of weird how aquarium makers decide to prioritize dimensions.

Hey mate, what size is the tank? I love your stocking choices. I have a 150 gallon with a Majestic, Regal, Lemonpeel, Venustus, Coral Beauty & Multicolor. Also have Melanurus, Biocellatus, China, Yellow tail tamarin, Lineatus wrasses. My tank is soft corals only, mainly leathers, and I have no issues at all with the angels nipping.

Lol, just heard you say 220 gallon right after I wrote the comment.

That’s a nice collection of Angels. I love the Goldflake as seen in these videos, one of my favorites, and the Blue Line (Chaetodontoplus). Out of these dwarf angels my least favorite might actually be the Lemonpeel, I like the Coral Beauty, Flame, and a few of the others for dwarves. How long have you had your Angels and how big’s your Majestic? I’m considering a 150 (standard 5 x 2 x 2) as well.

@@AbsoluteZero6714 Majestic is about 6 or 7 inches. I have had the angels for about 6 months. The Lemonpeel is actually a hybrid, and he is best behaved of all the angels.

@andrewschipplock5489 Thanks! Nice stock choices in your tank! It's a 220 gallon.
@AbsoluteZero6714Сағат бұрын
@@andrewschipplock5489I assume you got the Majestic at close to its current size as I heard they’re some of the slowest growing Angels especially compared to some other Pomacanthus and Holacanthus which are viewed as the “large” large Angels while most Apolemichthys, Chaetodontoplus and Genicanthus would be viewed as the medium Angels, and of course Centropyge and the Paracentropyge as the dwarf angels though Interruptus is one that gets to just as large or larger than some of the Genicanthus and Apolemichthys or Chaetodontoplus. Surprising your Lemonpeel x Half Black (is it?) hybrid is the best behaved out of the bunch, considering their reputation. It’s like getting a Six-Line Wrasse that plays nicely with other community fish.

I actually like the Trococopus subgenus of the Hogfishes as well as the Bodianus genus. The Trococopus are pretty, deepwater species on the small side for Hogfishes.
