The Astros have a winning record against every AL playoff contender this season except New York and Seattle. They have 6 games remaining with 3 against Seattle and 3 against Cleveland. The Astros are 4-6 against Seattle and 2-1 against Cleveland this season. The Astros have the best record of any team in MLB since the All-Star break.

He wouldn't be able to squat or walk off the field with a torn MCL. The MCL is in front of the knee and is responsible for the forward movement of the lower leg.

This loss is on the bullpen but mainly Joe Espada I don’t understand why take Aregetti out when he had a good pitch count and the angels had their worst hitters on deck. Either way thank got Seattle lost now we just need to beat them tomorrow and we can win the AL West

Espada I am sure regretted that decision. With Arrighetti having a 78 pitch count should have pitched another inning or even 2 . Now because of Espada's bone head decision he went through several pitchers in the bullpen unnecessarily. We need to conserve the bullpen as much as we can. We have Seattle coming up. Just stupid

The Astros' magic number is two. That means that even if the Mariners sweep the next series against the Astros, all the Astros would need to clinch the division would be any combination of Astros wins and Mariners losses to be two over the final three games for both teams.

What happened to Hader? I was hoping the Yanks would of went after him but he has not been very good this year from what I have seen and heard. No were near as bad as freaking Clay Holmes. WALKS KILL and Hader and Holmes seem to not be able to find the strike zone when it really matters.

Playoffs are still not guranteed; Alvarez is gone and we still need to win 2 games. We could easily get swept by the mariners and guardians and not make the playoffs.
