@@AngusArtEntertainment I mean, they finally fired Pete Carroll last year and that surprised a lot of Seahawk fans. Maybe the Mariners will follow suit. I like Scott, but something has to be wrong with the coaching. Even when we do trade for decent bats they proceed to have their worst year offensively, only to be cut or their contracts not renewed and go on the next year to be right back to their old selves.

The Mariners are in a complete free fall and even that is an understatement. Castillo pitches another gem and cant get any sort of run support. I dont think Seattle has any hitter in their starting lineup thats batting over .280? Does anyone know what happened to Ty France? And lastly, the Angels lead this season series 6-4 over the M's, winning the last 6 in a row. Houston and Texas will pass Seattle in the division when its all said and done and they'll be looking at another 3rd place finish in the West missing the playoffs again

It seems like every time the M's have a pitcher throw a shutout into the 5th, 6th, or 7th the relievers come in and give up runs. Why not let them stay in for a bit longer? I understand the logic of fatigue and pitch count, but you can't argue what's been happening. I KNEW the moment they took out Castillo the game was lost.

There are two good news for the M's: 1) they are still only one game out of the first place Houston, and 2) there are still 7 days left until the MLB trade deadline. The M's must sign a couple of sluggers so as not to waste a group of excellent starting pitchers for this season. The season is far from over. I choose to remain optimistic even after having been swept by the Angels at home.

Dipoto is an idiot. He gave up a top hitting prospect for Castillo because he feels he needs 5 aces. Then he gave him $108M when he could have signed bats. You don't need a Castillo if you have a top 15 offense. Castillo is solid. Been a bit shaky here and there, but I would much rather that money would have been spent on a bat or two. Gripe all you want about the owner, but this team has had many chances to sign bats. You also did not need to give $115M to Robbie Ray just to trade him for Haniger and his 2nd highest cap hit on the team this year. Way too invested in pitching. You win with offense. Looks at the rangers last year. Look at the Orioles this year. They don't have a bunch of aces. You need to score runs
