Ilan is an amazing drummer but damn I feel like Atom was a better fit for the sound they had. It's quite a bit different now. I'll always listen to Angels and Airwaves and everything they put out but this era was truly peak AVA. I know it sounds corny but listening to We Don't Need to Whisper for the first time made me feel the same way listening to Joshua Tree for the first time made me feel. I know this must sound insane to many people but it gives me the same epic feeling that is hard to describe.
