Angelwing FVT3 v3 from Angelwing flying at St Cyrus in Aberdeenshire

It was a bit windy for a 220g model but the FVT3 did great. St Cyrus is a lovely flying site but landing is tricky as it's farmers fields to the rear so you have to try to put it down on a narrow strip on top of the cliff. To make it more exciting there is a nasty rotor that sits right in the landing area. The views make up for the landing difficulty.

Looks excellent! Where is your CG at? My FVT3 still has a rather steep glide angle, I think due to CG a bit too far forward of the sweet spot. Do have a gyro / stabilizer installed? Regards, Arjan, Holland

CG is about 80mm back from the tip of the nose. No gyro fitted. This is the new version, I have the old one too and it certainly benefits from a gyro. The significant change I think is that the new one doesnt have dihedral which greatly reduces Dutch roll tendency.

@@jetplaneflyer thanks ordered my kit yesterday so wanted to know what I could fly it in. 20mph is quite strong yet it seems pretty stable 👌
