Angie and the Chicklettes - Tommy (1965)

Fantastic girl group ballad, one of my favorites, stuck on the flip side of a Beatles tie-in novelty. B-side of "Treat Him Tender Maureen (Now That Ringo Belongs To You)", released as a single in March 1965. This group consisted of Jean Thomas (on lead vocal) and the Angels (Barbara Allbut, Toni Mason and Phyllis "Jiggs" Allbut; Toni replaced Peggy Santiglia who had left the group). Jean was the lead singer of the Rag Dolls ("Dusty", "Society Girl", "Hey Hoagy", "Put a Ring on My Finger") and the Beach Girls ("Skiing in the Snow").
