Fame sounds not nice in the slightest bit. I like to act the energy, human emotions are immensely powerful and I love the idea of creating a character a fantasias world. And I’d love to meet such immense amount of people!

OMG I had the exact same experience! I booked my very first audition within my first 7 months of being here! I too thought it would be easy and didn't book anything else for another 3 years! lmbo I just made a video about this on my page. So glad someone else understands this journey. That says a lot! I can't believe it. Thanks for sharing lol

The part about not having to be an extrovert was very inspiring for me, because I've felt like acting seems like smth outgoing extroverts would have way easier for. Thank you, this really helped as I'm an introvert myself.

Great advice, esp. for newbies to the acting world.I would emphasize start training in theater whereever they are right now.Take as many classes in school, get as much theater experience as possible. LA is a type of Mecca for entertainment, but it can also be a soul -crushing juggernaut for so many delusional young people who have no idea what this town is like. Again, great job Angie. :)

Very good advices! Thank you for this. I used to act in my country Peru. I would like to say that I am actress, but I don’t feel to say myself that yet... even if I act many times in tv shows there, and in a humble way I can say I was good, I dis a good job., but I left it because I became a mom, and I moved here to USA and I am 100% housewife and mom specially. I’m so in love of my kids. But at some point, I miss so much to act . I see the tv shows here and movies and something inside me says you need to go for it! I want to come back to this wonderful and career that I left behind. I would like to know how to start sending my resume , I have not idea where to send it, what are the castings places, directors... anyways, It will take time to find them , but I will do it, this is what I want and one of my passions. Thank for your honesty and the encouragement. Many blessings!

It is pretty nerve wracking! But you have to just embrace it and find ways to deal with it. If you fight it, it only gets worse. Remember that they brought you in for a reason. They WANT you there! They want you to do well.

Hey Angie, just discovered your videos and thank you, they are so helpful. A little about me and why I’m here- I did some minor stunt work for a few tv shows and movies years ago, but was frustrated that I was never given a chance to act, auditions seemed difficult to come by as my resume mostly read stunt work. I’m 34 now and realizing that I really, really want to act, and am becoming intensely focused on picking up where I left off. My question is, do you think being a large, athletic dude (6’4, 230 lbs) with a stunt/martial arts/ stage fighting background is enough to entice casting directors and agents and maybe get a chance at certain kinds of roles? Thanks so much!

@AngiePattersonYT5 жыл бұрын
Hi, I wouldn't be as concerned with the price of the class... I think it's more important to see what kinds of other actors are taking class there - are they working, etc. Also, very important to connect with and understand the teacher.
