After covering some drugs that regulate pulmonary activity, it's time to move on to cardiovascular function. How can certain drugs help keep the heart beating and blood pumping? Let's examine this class of drugs, starting with angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors, or ACE inhibitors. These treat high blood pressure. How do they do it? Let's find out!

It’s constantly unbelievable to me how insanely complex biology is, it makes you think how did these processes developed over the eons that created us. How did this complexity come from simple chemical reactions to sustainably create something that could exist on its own given suitable nutrient intake. It’s amazing.

When you start really studying biology and physiology, the most amazing thing isn't how complex it is, but how simple the underlying mechanisms are. All these complex systems are the result of a bunch of really simple processes happening dynamically.

Thanks. I’m not sure how many times I’ve had this explained, but I can never remember it!

I got high bp and my GP was very concerned when I told her that my dad already had a heart attack in his 60s. I'm half that age now. Rip me, lol. At least I don't smoke though and never have, so I might manage to avoid it.

Hello professor I have found an experiment that will end the debate about the shape of the earth it is very simple but very convincing and confirm weather the earth is flat or a globe if you respond to me we will discuss about this experiment it is so simple

can you make a video on ''8 inches per mile squared'' this is the equation that flat earthers use to determine if things should be visible when you are on a globe earth

8in/mi^2 is a taylor series approximation of the curvature of the earth. Its fairly accurate for short distances (less than like an 8th of the circumference) but it doesn't take observer height, target height, stuff being in the way, or atmospheric refraction into account so its only really useful for bodies of water. Flerfs try to apply it in circumstances where it doesn't apply and then get mad when they can see something they "shouldn't" because they're high up or whatever
