I can confirm, this is doable with simple tools, even by an unskilled person like me. I made it like 2 years ago, recreated every step shown exactly, and have been using it since :)

You look slow, but there isn't so much as a single wasted movement in your work, every move is economical and definite. Hello SIR, You are one of the best in wood machining but not the best in scrap metal. For sawing, as for the file, the effort must only be on the forward part of the tool, the return must be "raised" so as not to wear out the file like the saw blade. This is one of the first things that apprentices are instructed to do. Even with good theoretical knowledge, I can't compete with you. Thank for all Sir

Здесь основной акцент сделан на изготовление сего станка, да и всего его оборудование, что сделано собственноручно, на дерево, на фанеры разной толщины. Что, не только из металла можно всё делать. Конечно респект за труд, за умение создать, за чистый подход к делу. Конечно, через чур все "нежно", если можно так выразиться, но грамотно и красиво! Смотрел с удовольствием!

Pretty interesting ... Well .... really it's damn cool! I've been trying to think of a jig for either an angle grinder like this, or a bench grinder that would allow me to place a lawn mower blade on it, set the correct angle 30 deg. Then just allow me to easily slide the blade or grinder back and forth. Still thinking but this was really cool. I like the "clear" acrylic or plastic what ever it is/was. Very professional looking.!

just take a 2x4 and cut a 30º bevel with a circular saw (using a level or even another 2x4 as a straight edge) then clamp your blade so that the face your grinding is parallel with the cut face on the 2x4. grind till flush

Wow! Amazing gig, perfectly done with a system mecanics of high grade. My only concern, if I can: you perhaps trap high temperature sparks inside the saw slot and burn your gig (and perhaps more?). 👌👍🖖

At first that was my concern too. But I think that the airflow that might keep a small fire going is too little inside the slot. And the metal topping also cools down the wood a little bit.

May not seem like enough air to combust instantly. More of a concern is if there was an ember that smolders. Maybe some saw dust nearby that was neglected and just before leaving for the day or to leave the area unattended. Had a personal experience with a smoldering ember that caused minor damage, but only because it was caught just in time. Just seed for thought.

Изобретение появилось на 37:27 и оно не без изъянов выполняет свои задачи, вероятно поэтому не использовалось ранее. В кадре появляется и фрезер, тоже есть места где можно было использовать его чаще. Но видать такова задумка автора.

Beautiful build again! My only advice would be the remove the grease from the round guide bars and bushings. Dust, dirt, and metal filings will settle on the rods and abrade the surface of the rods and interior surfaces of the bushings. I would recommend dry powdered graphite instead. ✌ 😃 👍

This is by far the BEST DIY project (actually doable without an industrial workshop) out there. It is super handy, if your grinder breaks it doesn't affect the tool, great base and clamps, and perfectly executed. 10/10
