John, I find myself waiting for the hook of the week to post before I get out to my forge to work. Thank you very much for your inspiration and instructions.

I rather like this triple hook set with top shelf. Nicely done. Now to figure out where to add a holder for the lock de-icer for getting back into my van when the locks freeze in the winter. Hmm.

John I really enjoy this series. Hope you keep it going for some time to come. I really like the way you look through the bucket and think of how you can use items for different types of hooks. Sort of teaches thinking outside the box. Thank you for that!

Awesome hook! I've been tossing around the same idea for a while. We have lots of small drops of angle iron around, and now I'm commented to makeing a a few of these. I've always liked the hook, and shelf combos that are ususally just inside of people's doors, and this is a fantastic way to get creative with scraps of angle iron. I'll probably just keep it more or less flat on the top tho, but hammer texture the whole thing, and brass brush the edges of the shelf, and tips of the hooks for hilights. Great video as always 👍! It seems like a LOT of your viewers absolutely love this series as much as I do, so keep the hooks coming! Also I feel like I should send you a proper bucket, and some more "useful treasures" to insure the series continues. Haha 😂
@BlackBearForge5 жыл бұрын
It was the condition of the bucket that prompted the series. It had to go, so why not use what was in it instead of replacing the bucket. Once its empty I have a few more buckets to chose from, so we should be doing these for quite some time
@Joseph44995 жыл бұрын
I think this is my favorite of the hooks so far. Not saying the others aren’t great as well. I think this one speaks to me because I have made a similar one out of wood. Now I would like to try my hand at making one with steel to match it.

Is there any good way of practicing the accuracy of your hammer blows? I haven't done any forging yet but I wouldnt be surprised if I couldnt hit the same place twice.
@dustinholland22725 жыл бұрын
U can find some scrap lumber a cheap box of nails and a good hammer. Hammer ever nail into that board. Keep track of your hits per nail to sink it. Try and sink each consecutive one with less game blows til u get down to the same number of blows for every nail.
