Brant, love the new format for your channel lately. Just non stop action and it is in places easily accessible to all. I think that is why your channel is really taking off more than ever lately. The boat was actually holding it back as not everyone has a boat. But anyone can go to these places you have been fishing lately. And you seem to be enjoying it more than ever. Love the channel and hope it continues to grow. Thanks for the show!

@@AnglerUpTv Its really easy to repair a broken rod if you have a cheaper graphite rod you want to cannibalize for the repair. The entire process should only take 1-2 hours of hands on work to complete your first time. After you have done it a few time you can do it in less than an hour. All you need is an old graphite rod, NYLON sewing thread in the color you want the repair to be get this from Walmart, 5 minute clear 2 part epoxy like jb weld, gorilla glue original formula, a small cheap paint brush, rubbing alcohol or fingernail polish remover, and 400 grit sand paper. You will also need a hacksaw and scissors, tape measure, a sharpie or paint pen, masking tape, a lighter and a razor blade. Using a good light source shine onto both ends of your broken rod and mark with a sharpie where the furthest crack extends to. You remove the old guides off the donor rod it the area you think would fit inside of your broken rod, start by heating up the epoxy covering the guides then using the razor to cut the string. Scrape any excess epoxy without cutting the donor blank, then sand smooth. Cut out about a 1 foot section of the donor rod to test fit inside the rod you are repairing. Slide it into the smaller section of broken rod until it stops with no gaps around the edge, DO NOT PUSH HARD BECAUSE YOU WILL CRACK THE BROKEN BLANK OR SPREAD THE EXISTING CRACKS FURTHER!!!! Mark that spot with a sharpie. Measure 2 inches from that mark to the narrow side, and 3 inches to the fatter side, if the cracks that you measured earlier extend past these numbers you have to go about a half inch past the cracks with the piece you are cutting.. Cut at those spots and sand the ends smooth. Sand the fat side of the donor blank until it will barely slide into the fat side of the rod you are repairing with force, you will Crack the blank if you force it in. Clean the donor blank with alcohol or nail polish remover, then wet the outside with water. Apply a thin bead of gorilla glue halfway down the narrow side of the donor blank. Wet your paint brush and use it to cover the entire narrow half of the donor blank with the the gorilla glue. The glue will begin to foam after about 30 seconds if it has enough water in it, water is the activator, if it doesn't foam wet you brush and rub the water into the glue. Gently slide the glue soaked donor rod while twisting into the narrow end of the broken blank until is is snug, do not force it. Repeat this process for the fat end of the donor rod and fat side of the broken rod as well. Line up the frayed edges of the two broken rod halves so the guides are lined up, the frayed edges should make this easy. Clean up any excess glue immediately with alcohol or fingernail polish remover on a paper towel. Wrap the blank over the broken point with masking tape a half inch past were your cracks you measured earlier extend to. Then wrap the masking tape with either braided fishing string or the nylon sewing string you bought very tightly about 50 or so wraps and tie it so it can't come loose. This doesn't need to look pretty because you will be cutting it off later. LET THE ROD DRY FOR AT LEAST 24 HOURS!!!!!! Using your razor blade cut off the string and unwrap/cut off the masking tape. Sand the area lightly to remove any glue buildup, and sand about 3/8 of an inch past your cracks to prep for wrapping. ****I recommend looking up how to wrap eye guides on KZbin to see the proper method for wrapping and tying the knots on the string so they are not visible. Begin wrapping your string about 1/4" past your crack, keeping the string very tight with no gaps between the wraps. Continue this about 1/4" past the crack on the other side. Your wrap should be one string thick the entire way, you can add decorative colors or wraps on top of the base layer if you want. ***Get a friend for this part if you don't have a rod building station. Get a paintbrush ready and gently try to pull any bristles out the tip so they don't end up in your epoxy. Apply about a quarter wide blob of your two part epoxy on a non foam paper plate or piece of plastic that you plan on throwing away. Using your brush mix the epoxy together quickly using a sliding/folding technique to avoid putting bubbles in it. Do not stir in a circle. While your friend holds the rod and slowly rotates it lightly apply the epoxy from the middle of the wrapped string outwards to a quarter inch past the wraps. Make sure to soak the epoxy into the thread and to build it up just over the thread, you should see a smooth shiny surface across the entire length of the epoxy. Continue to rotate the rod slowly for 5-10 minutes for the epoxy to set. After set do not touch the epoxy and lean the pole up somewhere that it won't get touched for 24 hours. After after 48 hours the pole will be ready to fish no restrictions. Assuming the the break didn't happen in the tip where the action is you will not notice any difference post repair, the repaired area will be the strongest part of the rod afterwards and if done right will not break in that area again. If you have any questions message me back, good luck my friend!

You should use 1 1/2 inch pvc pipe as rod holders. You can cut to longer length to have the rod at your preferred height and not have to bend over to get the rod. Not to mention it’s strong and cheaper.

Hello dear fishing friend, I watch your videos with interest and enjoy it too. And for that, first of all, thank you. But I have to tell you one thing. Please do not drag the fish across the sand if you do not want to eat them, as this will damage the natural protective layer on the skin. Land the fish in the water with your hand and then release the fish. Thank you and keep up a good catch.
