Idgaf what your excuse is. I'm a Florida native. A hunter, a fisherman and a conservationist. Releasing invasive species after catching them should be a crime if it isn't already. The fact you condone that with little regards to floridas unique native ecosystem is disheartening and it just cost you a subscriber.

I’m from Texas and have fished here my whole live and never had much of a problem with sharks. Went to Destin Florida and the first fish I took off a pier got sharked. Y’all can definitely can spare a few sharks

I shark fish off the Atlantic coast in Saint Augustine. You go 50 feet, 500 feet, 5 miles, off the shore and drop a piece of cut bait and you’re going to hook a shark within five minutes. The shark population is out of control. There are fun to catch, but they are detrimental to the native Gamefish. Until such time as the fish and wildlife commission tells me to dispatch them, I will continue to catch and release in the most gentle manner I possibly can. They are so much fun, but people have to understand that every time they go in the ocean there are hundreds of sharks around them. True fact.

I’ve always thought you can release invasive fish but only back in the same body of water that they were caught it

Yes if you catch a snakehead you should destroy it or any other invasive. However, because of dumb laws you can release it back into the same water. You cannot move it from one water way to another in the state. It honestly should be like iguana where if you touch it it's yours. Shouldn't be able to release.

As a native Floridian, I never understood how people from up north could just willy-nilly hop into a lake or creek without a care in the world. In Florida, you have to assume that any body of water contains at least three things that will kill/eat you. This video is evidence of that fact.

We’re constantly, told that the ocean has been emptied, but I’ve never seen any evidence of this. Here we have actual evidence of a very healthy marine community. I appreciate it’s only a tiny part of the ocean and doesn’t represent the entire sea, but it makes me not believe the eco dickheads.

Brant, have u ever used any of the Rooster Tail spinners in the surf? I'd like to see you try it. I once tried one in the surf and caught a whiting. I used one on a pier in Ft Walton Beach and caught a skipjack.
