Many thanks for the picture showing colour doppler imaging of carotid bifurcation (6:01 minutes). The blue coloured ECA with line of incidence shown on screen makes clears all doubts regarding coloiur coding of the images in colour doppler.

Lecture starts with so many angles displayed on the screen. It was expected that the lecture would include all those angles with varying orientation too.

Thank you...but different people call the" right" side of the screen right ...and you called right side left, i.e. what nonsonographers would call it. That's confusing.

so if I am holding a sonography transducer in doppler mode and am trying to determine the Ankle Brachial index for example. How should I hold it. Should the transducer be held at a 90 degree vertically to the vessel? Should the bar of the transducer be parallel to the vessel? I would really appreciate your answer. :)

How to do it at 60 degree and less, at the carotid artery?

It can be challenging. It ends up being a combination of beam steering to the left or right along with what is called a "heel toe" maneuver. This is when the sonographer pushes one side of the transducer a little more firmly to help create that angle of 60 degrees or less. This is easier done in the legs where you have more ability to push but can be done easily in the carotid arteries as well. But it does take a lot of skill on the part of the sonographer. Thanks for the comment.

@@virtualvascularlab9794 Thanks for your answer. You will help many sonogrphers and radiologists if you domenstrate it in a simple youtube video.... Thanks
