I’ve never been in an Anglican church where this was done. Not in any Church of England church when I’m visiting the UK, Nor in the ACNA and Anglican Church of Canada, congregations I’ve attended

@@evansustar8478no. Never encountered that even once. Is this an American thing? (America seems uniquely obsessed with putting the 10 commandments in schools and public buildings)

@@RandomCanadian-y1t no. The full Ten Commandments are featured in the 1662 BCP, which is the standard for the Church of England.

@@evansustar8478 be that as it may, since 2005, I have belonged to 2 ACNA churches and 2 Anglican Church of Canada, And every year I spend multiple weeks in the UK- I’ve attended 15 to 20 churches there. I have literally never -not even once- heard the 10 Commandments recited in a service.

@@RandomCanadian-y1t that really is a shame. I think, at minimum, a summary of the Law is really helpful. I’m sorry you haven’t experienced that! I’d encourage you to read the text for a Holy Communion service and see how it’s technically supposed to go.

@@RogerBesst Sorry to hear that, Roger! I hope you can find a faithful church near you, even if it is not Anglican. In the meantime, praying the daily office from the BCP is a great way to participate in Anglican prayer.

Apparently ANCA has been in talks with Rome discussing full communion . Have no idea how true or if true how far it has progressed or could progress . Apparently only those parishes or diocese which don’t ordain women .
