That's their biggest asset, because India 🇮🇳 doesn't know what action from India 🇮🇳 trigger a nuclear response from Pakistan 🇵🇰. @mariusvanc
@mariusvanc 2 жыл бұрын
That's incredibly simplified, inaccurate and naive. It's not "how do I abuse these people for profit" and more "these people's problems are not my problems". It's never personal, no one knows or cares you even exist, just like you don't give a second thought to the billions of other people in your daily life. No matter what you do for a living, no matter how you live your life, no matter how noble and virtuous you are, someone out there is suffering because of it, and you don't care, not only that, you don't even know you're doing it, you just go about your daily life without thinking about it. When you buy your Tesla, you're patting yourself on the back for being a good person, the child suffocating and dying in a cobalt mine collapse somewhere in Africa doesn't exist for you. How do you think that child's family sees you? That you're doing your small part for climate change, or that you're benefitting from their suffering so that you can put a second car in your garage? Nobody is the villain of their own story, even though a parody of it would definitely have a scene where the hero asks himself "AM I the bad guy???"
@commodorezelda
@commodorezelda 2 жыл бұрын
@@mariusvanc On a smaller scale, I think many of us are blind to our impact on others, whether that blindness is willful or not. But when you get to the point of people in places of power, either in governments or corporations, making decisions that will actively hurt many for your own benefit, I think you've entered a different, deliberate, and malicious state of mind. I think at that point you've actually deluded yourself that you are more important than those less fortunate than you. I know no one sees themself as the villain, but I personally have a hard time reconciling how someone makes the many decisions that lead to that place without stopping to think of the impact.

The civil war, (oversimplified) was basically the beginning, where it then changed into a full scale war there after and a cold war proxy. So the bo2 mission you're talking about is actually what is called 'The South African Border War'. This is where it became a large scale conflict, and an extentiom to the cold war, as this is were Cuban and Soviet backing (equipment and man power) was put into full swing. (As evident by the fact that in the bo2 mission you're fighting Soviet (piloted aswell) Helicopters etc. And Savimbi weilding South African guns, tanks, and helicopters. (Not really historical accurate but yea)

Like many White South Africans who served with the SADF I spent sometime in Angola before the Chinese take over and before it found amazing wealth! Yeah, the wealth was there, but you just didnt see it until later. It all looked very poor.

Side Note/Question : What do you need to tell them there folks over at that ⤵️ - Under Lucky Stars - Why they need to know a certain Location for .. ? I understand why they require you give them Time, Day + Dates to enable them to get the correct accuracy of the constellations and the right results with there alignments... But they would be the same from wherever you are,? Would they not..?! No..?..?! Am I missing something here? 🤔 Looking from different positions on the surface of the earth does not alter the stars in the sky and how they interact with each other...?! No..?!

They are different. The stars as seen in the Northern Hemisphere are different to the Southern Hemisphere, just to mention 1 difference 😊 In the South we see stars that you mostly cannot see in the North, for example, like the Southern Cross.

Suggestion: (First a disclaimer - I've been addicted to caffeine for 45 years) - please do a video on caffeine. How Europe and America, once they were addicted to tea and coffee, did really horrible things to other people's in order to maximize profits - how the consumption of caffeine literally switched western populations from massive alcohol consumption to massive caffeine addiction which helped propel "the enlightenment" and capitalism at the same time it conditioned us to abandon our circadian rhythms to be able to adapt to the world of mechanization. The coffee and tea plants are insidious hijackers of 90% of the world's population. They may not be the only thing bringing civilization slowly to its knees, but they are in the top running.
