Cuts the hair on the rabbits cheeks... well bye bye whiskers. I’m a breeder myself of mini lop and Netherland dwarf but my rabbits are handled very well and have extremely large, clean and interesting cages and does not have wire floor. I breed for pet, breeding and show. These rabbits are kept in pretty bad conditions but they are not the worst that I’ve seen. Would definitely need to do some major improvements on the way you treat your rabbits and the environment they live in.

Blows my mind anyone is complaining about these rabbits. They are kept in amazing condition given they are livestock and livestock in a third world country and frankly in an Asian third world country. It doesn't get much better than this. There would be exponentially more animal suffering if they had almost any other livestock animal. This is an absolutely wonderful way for them to make a living and not have animals suffering. They even get fresh greens. This is a great setup for poor villages in third world countries for an expensive commodity that should be replicated. Gives many people in the community work too and doesn't require huge fertile pasture nor a big smelly waste issue for the village nor a noise issue nor a sanitation issue affecting the ground water and so on. Very good all around.

Exactly, this isn’t in the US or UK and we can’t expect the same treatment we are required by law to provide!
@Princeofhares4 жыл бұрын
Even if it's better than in some places, the animals still suffer and this is far from being okay or "good conditions". Humans have to stop making money from causing suffering for animals. This is sick and no life for a rabbit, or any living creature

Well. This is better than the plucking that other large companies do. Workers “pluck” wool off rabbit. Rabbit is left bloodied and screaming. Trust me, this is lesser of two evils.

this is fake it a vegan propaganda if they pull the fur out of the rabbit one the rabbit won't survive 2 the fur will not have the same quality after growing back this was done by a vegan for their propaganda they harm animals for benefit for their propaganda I link a video who the actually cut the fur kzbin.info/www/bejne/hJ7SmZ-ahN-NqtU

Yes and no. The video where they’re pulling out the fur and the bun is screaming is awful, and barbarically inhumane. However, that video is showing a perverted technique of a legitimate practice: angora buns molt and naturally shed their coats twice a year, and during this time their fur is able to be harvested by hand without hurting the rabbit at all. The fur has already come out of the body but because their fur is so thick they can’t shed it themselves, so without intervention it would mat up and cause them pain while making overheating stupid easy. So most of the ethical breeders/owners of angora buns don’t sheer or clip the hair, and instead twice a year “pluck” the shed dead fur out of the newly grown fur. The fur that is harvested this way is of higher quality than cut or sheered fur, as the blunt ends from shearing can make the wool itchy to wear. Which is why the practice was ultimately bastardized and turned into mutilation by farms who want the value of plucked fur more than twice per year. Also some angora farmers will shear instead of wait for the molt because angora is their main source of income and they need production more than twice per year. But all this to say, don’t immediately be afraid of seeing the “plucked” or “handed” angora wool from small, independent owners/business, because it’s most likely done during molt and nothing like the horrific screaming videos. They should be very happy to clarify if you ask!

rabbits who are not altered aka spayed and neutered will kill and injure each other. The cages are a necessity to keep this from happening, the cages are also for keeping them out of their own feces. Rabbits have been been kept like this for 100s of years. If you are not vegan you shouldn't be complaining because you regularly benefit from animal cruelty.

Probably because it is scary for the rabbit and you can hurt them with it by accident. That rabbit is fairly calm, but you can see at the end it is squirming when he loses his patience. It is because rabbits are very ticklish too.

Look people at least these rabbits are no kill livestock, they’re not being raised to be killed at all, since angora wool can be produced by a rabbit through its whole life. I mean yeah they’re living arrangements might not be perfect but almost all other livestock suffer brutal deaths at the hands of humans.
@ZAELish4 жыл бұрын
Lots of people using the excuse because there livestock using that as an excuse to justify this treatment what makes livestock any different from your pets just like dogs and cats in puppy mills , might as well put the people who say this in tiny little cages and call them livestock . Most animals need some level of enrichment and use a shears for feck sake its safer and its quicker. You see people shearing there pet angora rabbits and there is zero difference in there wool well actually its probably better quality as there groomed regularly and not as stressed out.

You are absolutely out of your fucking mind lol. Rabbits love small spaces and they aren't stressed there, are kept clean, they have fresh water and even given greens and can see their neighbor which also isn't stressed which also calms them. They get real sunlight in there, the mesh is the right size so their paws aren't strained. They have an amazing life for livestock. It literally doesn't fucking get much better than that especially in a third world country. This an absolutely amazing setup they have going for their village and should be replicated all over for these villages and it employs many people and has so many benefits.

@@WaterspoutsOfTheDeep people like you make me sick. Rabbits do not love small cages like that. Rabbits should be indoors freeroaming in a loving home. They need excercise. And having a neighbour isn't always a good thing especially when they're not spayed or neutered. They can get into a lot of fights, like you can see the one rabbit with it's nose bitten off.
