The skimmers instantly died in the first spawn since the skim spawner was in a shield, skimmers die if they touch shields.

Tom, something I found out about play as creep maps. The ones where you can set down mesh, if you detonate eggs to get some creep in gaps where there is no land (but its still in bounds of the map of course) you can place down mesh. This gives your creep a way to cross to islands. I know not important for this map but it comes in handy in others

If Tom cares to read about how shields work: Shields effectively push away with a certain amount of force and speed, so too much and it's not enough force or too fast and it can't push away quick enough are the ways to overwhelm shields.

If you have a lot of issues with lag on some of these bigger maps with a lot going on then I have found a few things that can help with that. In the menu you can go to settings to adjust for performance or beauty pre-sets or individual setting adjustments to customize it. Also If you adjust things like smooth creep and creep lines and stuff like that you can reduce what the computer is trying to render with a little bit of playing around.

So since the A.I isn't able to rebuild on this map, it's entirely possible to spam rocks against the other Emitters (after upgrading them of course) so you can literally just flood the map with creep since you have that 1000 creep limit and it would take a long time to reach such a limit.

You could also simply go straight to the rift lab and disconnect it. Its one of the weaknesses of these maps, particularly the older ones without rebuild
