It's weird, but his run actually massively improved once he accidentally yeeted the Orberos. That protection relic effectively made him invulnerable every third shot, plus his ball lightning kept upgrading the shit out of every peg on the board and kept him scaling.

@@kephlur7493 Orborous can be very good if you get some echo and multiball relics and don't dilute it too much with other orbs. Orborus relies on not reloading much too which was tom's whole build

also the corn on the cob. that healed him for more health than he ended with in the last battle. if he wouldnt have had it he would be dead. Edit for anyone wondering it healed over 50 health in the last battle alone. Also the blindness blocked a bunch of the damage too

Both the ice and the lightning hit more targets when they're crit, even if they're not getting the +x from the relic. Ice pierces all, lightning hits the same column (which isn't that common tbf)

@@klaxoncow the crux of the build is the new Critsomallos Fleece which stacks crits combine that with the Critiball orb, Powder Collector, and Electropegnet its ridiculous. Its hard to see the damage value before it overflows but I think its 2 billion

Round Guard was the artifact that carried that last fight, it blocked about 12 different hits, since you had only 12hp at the end you would’ve been dead more than ten times over

Echo orb would been very powerful with this build if echo orb comes after orboros and it also gains the effect making it more powerful times go on as well being able hit all enemies without crits.

The run was definitely saved by the shield and blind from bombs. Shield saved you from damage every time you reloaded during the boss fight, and the blind saved you from a ton of hits on its own

honestly this run went pretty well. The Orboros was a safety net for acts 1 and 2, but your relics did all the work so losing them to rng wasn't that bad in retrospect. Scaling damage was the theme so the last boss fight could have been a bit shorter but a w is a w.

I feel like Bouldorb might've made your life a bit easier, but the biggest mistake was the Glorious SuffeRing which made the build much weaker until the build suddenly changed and then it completely saved your ass

got the game just now, beat the game aswell on first try. had oberos, fireball the ice one and lightning + a heal orb. did 2k average per turn. Were so much fun xD I will asume I had massive massive luck.

It was good back when he only had one orb and immediately reloaded, doing the ballance thing, the refresh, and the base damage increase on reload effects, but once he got any other orbs, it was out the window.

What exactly are you talking about? Orboros has persist and so reloading won't happen after every shot, and if you discard an orb the enemy doesn't get the chance to move after as they would if you took a shot, only for a reload if you do one.

Getting rid of the 2 ouroboros was actually what saved your run

Basically, you had a 2 in 12 chance of pulling both Orboros. It's a 50% chance on the first orb drawn to be an Orboros, then it's a 1/3 chance on the second draw. If you multiply those out, you end up with 2/12 or a 1 in 6 chance. Lower odds than the 25% that you postulated, but I imagine this game cheats odds on purpose to balance a run. Can't have a game go too good, right? Remember how bad the odds were in "Dicey Dungeons?" The odds aren't that bad on accident.

It was a 16.6% chance for both of those balls to get taken I think. First was 50% change of choosing one of them, then the second ball removed would have been 1 in 3, so 50% divided by 3 is 16.6%. You got pretty unlucky, nice build otherwise.
