He had the wrong assumptions. Once he realized they were countered by Snipers but wasted missile ammo, he could use them. And the upgrades to the buffing mechanic helped.

@@christopherg2347 They're still bad in low numbers, but once you have 8-10 of them, even if they get shot down they can push creep to the front line in a way spores can't

@@Cpl.Punishment Everything with a counter weapon is low in small numbers. Maybe excluding skimmers and eggs, cause they need counter fire to work efficiently.

Air sacs can be unreliable, but when you hit that tipping point where the humans start running low on energy, air sacs can really burn through their economy. The every shot they take from snipers is that much energy not going towards cannons and mortars. It can also open the way for blobs and skimmers by taking up all the sniper shots so they have to reload. Not that there's any easy way to time that right on purpose, but that's kind of the thing with air sacs; you just fire and forget, while the enemy has to devote infrastructure and resources to counter it, and eventually something will slip through.

From what I’ve seen in other maps, what tends to happen is one section of wall fails and just enough AC spills out to let the section rebuild, then the AC stops spreading again until the next breach. So you have to either drain it bit by bit or have deep enough Creeper to keep pushing through the AC.

So, I just buffed the fuck out of the Emitters up above 500 then moved onto buffing the Spores, Skimmers, etc when I did this map, made things go a bit longer but it was a fun thing to do to see all four Emitters pumping out over 500 creep each while being supported by everything else behind them.

I will always hold that Air Sacks aren't meant to do much damage and are instead meant as distractions to tie up missiles and snipers that could be going for spores, skimmers, and blobs.

Out of curiosity what are the specs of your system? Because this is one of the things that bugs me the most with some of these maps in CW4, they are so laggy. Just watching how slowly your time is ticking is just aggravating

Many games can’t handle when the game is sped up, with creeper world being one of them. Try to put other games in 2x or 4x speed and it tends to slow down a ton

@@NotChickenspy I mean I get that, stuff is happening, computations are computing, all that rot. However this game doesn't immediately come off as a heavy processing game (although considerably more than the previous Creeper World versions which were 2d in nature), but you see that 1x speed it the tenths of a second are ticking by so slowly and game streamers often have better rigs than the average person too which is why I asked. There have been quite a few maps where I just said "nope" because of how slowly it lagged out.

I imagine it has to do with it being such a wild map. I have a decent system(5900x, 32gb of ram, mid range gpu) and my cpu is what causes the fps to go kind of low from what I can tell. These map creators seem to add as much as the game can handle. If the game was twice as fast maps would be twice as crazy and we would get the same fps. I'm sure the game isn't perfectly optimized, but I dont think it needs to be perfect, no matter what people will make maps that push the limits of the game.

I will admit to cheating on this map. You can turn off the wall blocking the anti-creep so I use that to deal with it without exposing myself to that gun line. Feels bad, but not enough to not exploit it.
