Even if someone get angry they have no right to take it out on you. Relationships are about respect, communication, boundaries, trust and love. And yea with that comes conflicts and issues, and fights. But one never has the right to take their anger out on the other person. And I should know this, I’ve got severe anger issues, and whenever I loose control of my anger I feel incredibly guilty afterwards, and I understand I don’t have any right to take it out on that person, which is why I work on my anger issues. Either way the point is, you should be able to communicate and solve those conflicts and fights without taking your anger out on the other person.

I completely agree, going through every kind of abuse possible pretty much my entire life, it scars you for life, I too flinched and bawled when he raised his voice expecting to get hit or any kind of violence, but instead comforted the listener. Made me cry even more because I wish someone was able to comfort me all of those years ago, to make me feel safe. Unfortunately, what happened has happened and nothing can change that, but it's made me into the person that I am today. Yes, there are multiple things I wish would have turned out differently where I'm not bringing myself down or negative things about myself and where I'm extremely timid to the point that I don't always stand up for myself, but what I lack, I make up for loyalty to those who I love, my family, significant other, pet family members, and close friends. Yes I have trust issues and it makes it hard to meet new people, but it's been a working progress. I just hope those who have gone through, not as bad or even worser cases, I just want you to know that yes, it's difficult to move on with your lives especially being so traumatized, but it will get better for you, I promise, so please don't give up hope on yourselves.

I grew up in a household that had sudden explosions of vocals much like this audio, and it always made the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. Either a side effect of my anxiety or it was a reptilian brain level reaction to warn me. I just got that now, but I never got the apologies for it. I never got it for the slaps in the face either. Thank you for this audio.

Keep in mind… if you want this from your lover (abused or not) please do no purposely cringe in front of him. This behavior causes a response of shame and defensivenesses. If his raising his voice frightens you please ask him to give you a second to catch your breath and then calmly explain that you are frightened easily by things like this and appreciate that he makes you feel safe and would appreciate if he continued to talk to you with the same respect you will show him. If you need to feel this response and you’re not in an argument please just tell him that you appreciate how he makes you feel safe and it’s okay to ask for affirmations (a love language) and be sure to appreciate him, not tear him down. In case y’all thought what I thought when I watched this before studying psychology. I thought an instance like this sharing about my past abuse would bring us closer. Don’t act afraid of him. Please. Blessings

If only I could do something that would show how much your videos save me Nick Night. I'm sure you get these comments a lot, but still want you to know what you do for me. You're my safe place. A place I go to, to escape, feel comfort, feel safe from the dark thoughts and loneliness, to fall asleep knowing my inner demons are at bay because of your voice. I don't know you, but it's quite amazing how a stranger can do so much without ever meeting you. What you've created is your legacy and I'm so happy I found it. Thank you for doing what you do. Saving many lives. Our angel of the night💙❤💙❤💙
