ANGRY KAREN calls the POLICE on SURRON!! // UK

This weeks video I look at replacing the head tube bearings on the Surron. This now completes the full set of bearing on the Surron as I believe they haven't been replaced since the bike was manufactures in 2021.
I also have two very different interactions with the public. The 1st interaction is with a lady who I am going to call "KAREN" She comes across very aggressive and threatens to call the POLICE on me. The second interaction is with decent older gent who has nothing but respect for the Surron and wants to know more about its capabilities!

Customised with coloured bottle tops nailed ontothe steering board. Enjoy it while you can. 😂👍

Only just joined your channel this week. Older bloke, had an electric motorbike a couple of years ago but sold it when the metal in my left leg was giving me agro and the surgeon said we probably can't repair this again. ie next time its an above knee amputation. However, having been a very keen road bike rider and later a dabble into motorbikes, the bikes like the Surron/E Ride Pro S are calling! 😊 There's no point being here if your not going to enjoy it. My personal view on the negative attitude from some people are not because of the Surron, these people will find something to complain about no matter what. I've been driving a Tesla Model S for a while now and sometimes I get the feeling that some people are aggressive towards me because of the car. But last Friday I delivered a Mini Clubman Cooper S to a customer and was getting the same from some while driving that. I think it can be easy to assume we are doing something that has set someone off, but most of the time they are just looking to have a pop at someone and we happen to be the first person they come across. We live in a country where a newspaper prints a load of misinformation but if it suits someones agenda, they go off on one! No interest in checking for facts or reality! Anyhow, enough of that. Enjoying the channel, hopefully the police told that woman to stop wasting their time.

It’s not the helmet as I wear a full face helmet riding my Electric Unicycle at car speeds on the roads and I only ever get stopped so people can take photos of it and show their friends. It’s because it’s like a motorcycle. Plus my hands are free, can ride seated on my added Sur-Ron seat and I also take it in the shops so no one can steal it.

When you drive in a private field with permission your fine. It's the driving on a public road with no insurance road tax. They have every right to seize em. Try living in a place where we have 15 a week driving through pedestrian alleys and doing wheelies on public roads with no identifiable registration.. 6 months I was laid up with a knee injury because of one clipping me. Guess what they drove off. I am hoping it'll be legal if u see one to be allowed to disable them until the police show up to crush them. It isn't a bike it's a moped and should be bound by the same laws.

No. Although it's technically illegal for the motor to be capable of more than 15mph if used on the public highway.

If it's only method of propulsion is electrically propelled ie, no pedals then it's classed as a moped and has to then meet the same legal requirements, MOT, License etc. If you have pedals and it's capped at 15.5 then it's road legal without all the other hassles. I can see the laws getting much tighter in the future that will affect even purpose built pedal assist bicycles. It's the karens of the world destroying our fun.

I'm curious about your bike. What are your thoughts on it? What do you like, or dislike? What would you change? Yadda yadda yadda... I wanted to get one of those, but never did. Mainly because of the lack of range. Oh yeah, as far as karen goes in this video, don't waste your time on them. If you pull up to them and they start ranting, just ride away and totally ignore them. You can't reason with a karen. That is what defines a karen...they are unreasonable.

You could just as easily have called the cops on karen and for better reason. She stopped you to harass and (you could say) intimidate you while you were on private property with permission and minding your own business. Trying to be reasonable with an unreasonable person is always a futile endeavor. Preemptively contact the police, let them know the situation so next time they are aware this person is causing concern. Karen's always grab a nut and fixate on it. You'll see her again guaranteed.

It's not the bike that annoys people it's the people riding it. When I was a kid I loved motorbikes and flying around the country on them. I made sure I checked with the farmers to make sure no animals or newborns were out in field. No issues and I rode wherever I went. I work on a golf course and the kids on ebikes cause thousands of damage every year. It annoys me because I have no issue with kids having fun and doing it. I did it myself for yrs. But this whole attitude that these kids have is just damaging the e bike community. Its because of them that all the no ebikes signs and new laws passed and why UK will not allow more than 15.5 mph. The attitude of many is it's a nuisance because of the disregard for people by the young riders. Until they stop antoginising people it will never change and everyone else loses out.

I live in Ireland and I'm an electric scooter user ' kukirin g2 max , for the most part the police here are ok with them , it is a simple fact that the world will go full electric and gas vehicles will go through way of the dodo ,unfortunately this will see the end of sports eventually such as f1 but its gonna happen , if some had their way we would be still using telephone boxes and tubed style tvs tomorrow is Tuesday and no matter how loud those Karen's shout,!
