That's the iconic stock "wild cat" sound used for most felines in fiction that aren't tigers or lions. Leopards often get settled with this noise, even though they are panther cats (more closely related to tigers and lions than cougars) and therefore roar just like their bigger cousins, but can't yowl or screech like this.
