Good job for a mini excavator with a brush mower, could be a good investment? They are very handy

Nice work and explaining the process. The owners should address that oak tree growing into the powerlines. I'm amazed at how many people completely disregard trees under powerlines either by allowing the "volunteers" to flourish or by activity planting too close.

That would be nice to have. When you have acreage the overgrowth always is fighting to reclaim its territory. You have to constantly fight it back. If man ceased to exist the wooded areas would reclaim their land back in short time. I have a 6 ft bush hog but this above would be nicer for clearing woods. The bush hog, on the front of the tractor works better unlike pulling one where the tractor has to go thru the brush before it's cut by the Bush hog.

For anyone that thinks its easy to run a skid on grass an not messing it up. Has never ran a skid ever. It takes skill to run a skid on grass an not mess it up. I run a cat 242D tire skid on grass all day. An never messed up the grass with that skid. When i started i did. Took time to be able to run a track or tire skid on grass to not mess it up. That means taking wide turns an sometimes a 40 point turn to get where your trying to get at. An as one runs a skid on grass more will figure out what it takes. I like to run on the rear tires as much as I can so i can make 360° turns on grass

Good job again. Well done on deescalating the situation in the previous video it could have been very problematic if you hadn't. Cleaning out the channel for the water to flow will make both property owners happy they had you do it in the coming months. The equipment you are using is awesome, maybe you should be an advertiser for them if you aren't already.

At least you solved the problem. If you do a lot of ditch work you may have to get an excavator mounted mower. Spraying herbicides always leads to ditch erosion, not sure if they could build a swale instead with gradual slopes that could be mowed?

Very true. They plan on adding rock to the ditch so let’s hope the erosion goes away with that. I think the plan was to cut another ditch out towards the swamp to stop the flooding.

When I finally get a piece of land for my homestead, I am soo gonna rent that same machine and mulch down every dead tree and brush where I want it cleared, rather than haul it all out.

Why didn’t you just drive the skid in the ditch
@honeycuttsbrushmore3244
@honeycuttsbrushmore3244 Жыл бұрын
Skid weight 13k lbs. plus the ditch was mud. Not getting stuck and paying $500 to get pulled out.
