It does start out looking very cranky. But in the end I see a bear - with two big old wide set surprised looking eyes and a nose. I kind of like him. No matter how gnarly, impossible, cracked, and angry the chunky piece of wood is, you always find the beauty in it and create such interesting pieces. Thank you.😊

@PhilAndersonShadyAcresWoodshop3 жыл бұрын
You are correct, Lee. It's just me, I know there are lots of turners that use carbide quite successfully. I feel like they don't allow me to feel the wood. I feel like they take the art out of turning, for me. I also feel, it's not as fun to watch. When I have questions when turning I say to myself “what would Phil do?”. You have a very artistic eye and you are such a craftsman. One question I have is what do you do with all the beautiful pieces. Regards, an ardent student of yours.
