Agree.H is the defacto GM.He is responsible for the draft and trades.He chooses the personnel.He is more responsible than anyone,for what players,are on the team.Will the Bengals get rid of him? No.Unlike other NFL teams.Bengals ownership,does not care about wins or loses.Or whether the seats get filled in the stadium.Why? Because the NFL,shares revenue,amongst the 32 teams.So,no team,is going to lose money.No matter,how many people actually go to the games.The majority,of all the teams revenue,comes from the huge tv deals,they negotiate.Not attendance at games.

Unfortunately when you said that the Organization should be embarrassed and there should be some form of accountability, unfortunately there won't be any. I've said it time and time again this organization runs this team like a small business that's afraid to take risks and would rather live in their mediocrity. They believe the draft can fix everything and they have let so much talent walk that has never been fully replaced Whitworth, Bates, Reader, and Higgins is next to name a few. This is the unfortunate culture of Ownership and the Front Office, which doesn't match the passion of us as fans which sucks.

I love how Jake has ti rationalise the bengals failure by playing down the Steelers offense. Steelers are literally middle of the league, not great but the difference is they play complimentary football. Bengals are putting all their eggs in the Burrow and chase basket and neglecting the rest of the team. Steelers one of the most complete teams in the NFL and your hate fuels them.

Disagree.Most of the high draft picks,over the last few years,for the Bengals,have been on defense.They have just drafted poorly.Look at Dax Hill,for example.He was a first round pick.For years,they could not figure out,is he a safety? Or is he a corner? The answer is,he sucks at both.Look a DE Myles Murphy.They took him in the first round.So far,he is a bust.Poor drafting is killing them.

If we lose to the Cowboys,with a backup QB the seat will be hot in Cincinnati. Lou Anarumo will not be our coordinator next year,he may not finish out the year. So will be the DB’s coach on that side of the ball. Marion Hobby along with Darren Simmons is the only assistant coaches that deserve a job. Zac Taylor will have to learn how to draft and develop a TE,RB and wide receiver #2 behind Jamarr. The new O line coach will have to develop a LG and RG from the draft,as well as Matt Lee. Let’s not forget how bad this O line has played the past 5 weeks. You are right Jake,the Bengals need a GM,along with larger scouting department. Duke Tobin needs to resign after the season. We need a GM here in Cincinnati who can develop players on both sides of the ball.

We been waisting draft picks on a RB that saw 1 carry this year,drafting multiple TE’s than never panned out. Wasted money at trade deadline with a backup practice squad RB,then signing a DB that isn’t on the field. Terrible Free agency along with bad drafting the past two years. Let so many captains like Joe Mixon,Jesse Bates,DJ Reader walk out the door. Those are players you build around on that side of the ball,and we didn’t sign any of them. We should have traded Tee Higgins back in March for an early second and late 5th round pick. Mike Brown could have secured the middle of that D line with that 25 million they paid Tee Higgins. We need to let Troy and our new GM take control of this team and scouting department. Duke Tobin needs to step aside,the same way Marvin Lewis did 5 years ago. Mike Brown will have to wrap his head around that,and let Mr.Tobin run off in the sunset. We need a GM Mike,it takes them 6 weeks to get ready for the season,and they have no direction late in the year. The draft and development has to be better,it starts in the scouting department head. We need a GM!

As a diehard Steelers fan I have to say you guy have good players on D. You guys got out coached. Most of the passing yards were to the RBs getting in behind your LBs. Coach knew your tendencies and greenlit Russ to audible when he saw certain looks all game. The defense wasn’t prepared schematically.

Over Reaction post-game. You cannot fire a Coach that designed the offense that is scoring 30 points a game. Its not by accident. The two main coaches that need to go is Oline Coach Pollack and Lou and the whole Defensive staff. Bates is playing much better since he left. Bates was hot and cold under Lou. Lou's Defense has always a bend not break. They were never a top defense.

So he deserves no blame because he is an offensive based HC? He has final say on his staff and arguably more say so on draft and FA than any coach in football. The Bengals coaches are part of the scouting process for the draft. His inability to have his team ready to play at the start of a season is also troubling.

His inability to call effective run plays allows D to tee off on Burrow. Fire him and get a tough defensive coach like Aaron Glenn. He will turn that defense around in 1-2 years
