reminds me of a screaming match I had with a driver at a store. At this particular store chain my company has priority(other than the stores trailers) at select docks... Another driver in a box truck decided that he wanted to try and take my door. got in a lil yelling screaming match and instead of entertaining him I was like nah lets get the receiver to decide (I knew damn well the outcome was its my door)... I got the door, he had a co-driver so he didnt even enter the store to unload his box truck (still at the wrong dock as this is a double dock both for dairy, eggs, company store trailers) they were supposed to be at the dry dock further down the building but didnt use their eyes nor brain. Probably pissed him off when he saw I use a key to open a door that he couldnt get through lol (this store is a key store for my company so they issued us keys to this specific door)

No worries, it happens to most of us! I was once fueling at Loves at Hubbard Ohio after waiting 35 minutes for the guy in front of me to leave I decided to go and gently knock on his door to ask him he is all right so we can both start moving. Surprise ,surprise . He was just enjoying his foot long sandwich. I was yelled at and called all kinds of names so returned to my truck and waited 5 more minutes until he left. All other truckers around me did not say a word but made funny faces. O boy ...ugly memories....im laughing now!😂

Almost all of them are horrible to fuel at because of the Fuel Island Kings, who think they are super special and more important than everyone else.

He has said he has a backlog of content to upload while he is on his break to keep us entertained, but then he stopped posting them so he must’ve forgotten or is taking another break from KZbin. So there’s allegedly videos queued up and ready to post (or they need editing and then post). He said his whole (I think 2 TB) hard drive is full of content.

HE said nothing would change and he would keep uploading after he left Online. HE said he had a backlog of content and had enough to keep putting videos out through the winter. He's put out two videos since he left. Two. In almost four months. From a weekly upload, to nothing in two months now. Explain to me how having all of this readily available content means there's no content? He just stopped. And while he's more than allowed to do that, it's also alright for those of us to question and wonder what the fuck happened when he said nothing would change and literally everything changed. Let's also not forget that he chose to leave a company at the height of a freight recession where companies have basically put a freeze on hiring because everything is so god awful slow right now, and right after Yellow collapsed leaving over 22,000 other drivers looking for work. Here's hoping he can get back in, but in all honesty it wouldn't surprise me if Online isn't taking him back due to not having enough freight to move just like all the other companies in the industry.

😂 this reminds me of delivering in mid-town Manhattan, before cell phones in the early 90s. There would be all manner of trucks and vans double parked. You would need to go to the business via elevator just to announce you are there, so by the time you got back to your truck. Every other truck had moved making it look like you just pulled up in the middle lane and parked causing many parking tickets.

I personally back into drop spots when in lots like that, whenever possible. The only time I'll park like you and the others did is if I can do it somewhere other than in front of dock doors, or if there is plenty of space for drivers who are docking in or out to setup and do everything they need to do whether or not I'm there. I'll have to watch again, but he could just suck at backing and he could have possibly had enough room to work with if his backing skills are up to snuff.

I just happened to click on the video since it was in my recommended to watch. Minutes into the video while you drove down the road past the restaurant before approaching the receiver, I was like that place looks familiar. I've dropped off there once last year when I was in swift. Luckily for me I dropped off late at night when there were no trucks besides one other guy checking in ahead of me. That place is tight but not so bad. Definitely not enough room to be hooked to your trailer while getting off loaded. Definitely got to drop and park it somewhere. Any drivers coming to this place. DO NOT park on the side of the road by the entrance. In the video you'll see orange cones. When I dropped off there that one time, there were 2 bobtails stuck in the mud. Of course one of them was a Swift truck and me being a swift driver, it made me shake my head at that. I was a rookie and still am but I know better than to park on wet grass/mud. By the time I came back to pick up my empty after they got done unloading it, the wrecker was there pulling the swift out the mud. Theres a truck stop around the corner by the light and another gas station with some truck parking across from it. Cause it was late at night when I went, there was no parking. Forgot the interstate that runs thru there but remember a scale house rest area about 10 minutes away. There is 2 rest areas before it but was closed, not sure if it still is. Other than that, the scale house rest area is empty. I will end this by saying, the only issue I had with that place was after they unloaded, they left a whole lot of pieces of pallets and garbage in the trailer. Luckily they had a dumpster not far on the lot.

I think ive been to that place before. You pull into the gate and theres a long line of trucks parked blocking spaces. Theres a door to your left that says shipping and receiving, you go into the warehouse and stand in a line of 5 or 6 people which is why it takes so long. Theres absolutely no where for you to leave your truck while you go inside except to block spaces like everyone else. You can try and park in a space if you find one not being blocked but chances are someone will yell at you for that aswell.

thats truckin. i deal with this crap daily as a city driver with a day cab. in ltl we have very limited time to get it done. waiting for 20 minutes can mean missing several stops a the end of the day. i hit 20 to 30 docks a day. delays are not good. when it's busy like this , i leave and come back later.

The other kind of semis "cabovers" are easier to maneuver in than conventional cabs. I remember I use to see cabovers all the time back in the 1980s & down. Nowadays they're a rare site. Only problem I have with them is if you get into a crash with another vehicle in one, you get smashed because you're right at the front end of the frame which leaves you very little protection between you & whatever is in front. Other than that, they're cool semis.

Appreciate you Dave, wish more drivers would park bobtail in appropriate areas instead of hogging up a whole spot for a truck and trailer. I do the same it is so inconsiderate to do otherwise but a lot of drivers out there do not think about others. All we can do is set proper examples for others to hopefully learn from. I am just like you. The more I have to wait and check in, the more anxious I become because there is no place to park out of the way while wondering if somebody is trying to maneuver around my truck. I know I do everything I can to stay out of the way for others. I know exactly why you got angry because this dude thought that you didn't give a shit about blocking others even though you do everything you can to avoid blocking others in. That type of situation right there makes me very angry. You do all you can do to stay out of the way, and then somebody else thinks you do not care. That is what really pisses me off. I try to avoid anyone that would even think it's okay to just approach people when you're pissed off, in your case it was unavoidable because you tried to park where you weren't in anyone's way and this person decided to instead of think about how he feels first and try to take a breath and realize shit happens, he decided to give in to the intrusive thoughts in his head and take his frustration out on an unsuspecting truck driver that doesn't want to be there so he can move his truck, you know? You knew where you parked might be in someone's way, but there was nowhere else to park, clearly. I don't understand why there are people that do this job that have no self respect and think it's okay to just be an asshole to other truck drivers because they seem to think they're special when they are not, it's so infuriating, and one of the reasons why I will never be a truck driver, I'll hurt somebody if they try to do what that person did to you, I don't take any disrespect from anyone, and if you get in my face, I'll knock your teeth down your throat, I get violent when I'm cornered and I feel attacked. I've seen some shit and been through some shit, I have PTSD and anxiety really bad, I can't deal with that at all, I tip my hat to you man, you have more self control and discipline than me, and I'm ashamed to admit it.
