i rolled a full set of over eaters hellcat back when the scrip limit was 300 and it took me 6 months of maxing my daily scrip every day to get enough modules to roll it. now we have 500 and you get modules from daily ops so its not really that bad now, i would still love more scrip though

i feel your pain, it took months and months of grinding steel but i was making a life saving set. hate to tell you how many unyielding pieces i scripped. sometimes i think this game can read your mind and then laugh at you by giving you the exact opposite of what your looking for. full health build and all i can craft is unyielding...sheesh

I wouldn't be surprised if there is a game mechanic that looks at your health and lowers the percent of unyielding drops at low health and high health does the opposite. You should try to drop your health and then roll to see your chances😂😂

Good job. We know they keep rad regean on unyelding to make It less possibile to find It good. They already demonstrate us they can kick a perk out of the pool for the overpowered. Now they have to do the same for armors and weapons that go wasted with each others.

Arguably rad removing uny armor has the niche use of removing rads while keeping stats up for folks who don't use rad-away (or brahmin milk). I did that for a while, had three pieces I carried and swapped in after fights etc. If you don't run Starched Genes (none of my characters do) and don't have a brahmin milk machine, it's the best bad choice.

I miss the Vault Raids. We used to run them all the time. They reset on Tuesday. At the time you couldn't even get Thorn Armor with Unyielding Effect. At the time it seemed useless to even try to roll a set unless you were wanting Assassins or Vanguard. Some guys rolled Solar but it wasn't very good. I made my Stranglerheart but kept running people through the Vault Raids because they had announced that they were going to retire Vault Raids when Wastelanders came out and we all thought that this would be the last chance to get the plans for the armor. It was a pleasant surprise that they kept it and even more pleasant when Unyielding was added to possible rolls. I had close to 5k Vault Steel just wasting away in my stash. It ended up taking every bit of that 5k to get 4 Uny/Sentinels pieces and 2 Uny/WWR pieces. The RNG is beyond outrageous if you're trying for Uny Armor. The worst part of blowing that 5k Vault Steel for 6 peices of keeper Thorn armor was when they nerfed the poison damage as bad as they did. It was really pretty bad originally. Unlimited stacks of Poison on a target and of course that was abused in the PvP world but they really killed the armor with how badly they nerfed it. The most expensive armor to create for most was made almost worthless. The sneak value was nice but not nice enough for how expensive they had made it to create. Was painful watching you roll all that Vault Steel Mr Turtle. Maybe the dev's will watch the video and realize that they need to adjust some things with rolling weapons and armor because rolling worthless items from 500 script a day definately takes any fun out of the mechanic.

Thorn was the first Uny armor I rolled, maybe 2 years ago. Pretty sure I got it WAY easier than that (less material / crafting) but over much more time (like 6 weeks crafting a few pieces a day, because I didn't server hop for vault steel). I went that road because is less bullion for plans (you don't need any bullion plan mods) and I had just started playing. I ended up with 3 of the 5 pieces dealing melee damage (fire, cold, poison)!

I'm also in the process of getting the Unyielding Thorn set. The chance of one piece is 1/25 (Unyielding being 1 of 25 effects), so you should expect to roll 25 times. That means 125 total rolls (5 times 25) is the expected number based on the probability to get all 5 pieces. That means a total of 1250 vault steel, costing 12500 scrips. And that is just for getting the Unyielding effect and ignoring the other two effects. Expensive indeed.

Totally worth it since its the best armour for melee. And if you have a few efects like damage to melee attackers you can just stand still while ghouls and dogs just die around you.

You don't need to exit crafting to check what you crafted. All you have to do is switch to modify while at the work bench. You can then see everything you have crafted. Much easier to see all of the legendary effects that way as well.

My pieces are mixed affects but they help, I went for a full health build for my melee got 2 vanguards pieces, 1 overeaters, one with auto stim, one with trouble shooters cause robots can be troubling

Yeah I did the same full set of overeaters but switched to a +1s oe set because poison damage was so low. I figured a flat 50% additive damage would be better since my junkies gauntlet would now be able to one shot power attack super mutants now

I have a full set on my Melee character that has pretty decent effects. I just went back to my SS set because the Thorn Armor seemed more useful. I look forward to your test to see if things changed or if I should give Thorn another shot.

yea its a pain to get took me alittle over a month to get all unyealding peices for my melee build. but now i have been trying to get full set of food drink and cem weight reduction on unyealding SS as the third star on unyealding and only got 3 pieces and been working on it for 5 months now

How do you keep getting 3-stars with this rolling method? I tried rolling my SS armor by crafting a new piece every time like this to get all unyielding and I kept getting 1-star and 2-star pieces, I would rarely get 3-star pieces. Is there a trick to this or am I just missing something?

Crafting thorn armor will always be 3 star legendary.

i only craft one at a time and then go to mod directly in the workbench to view it. it's much quicker than constantly getting in and out of the workbench to look at it on the pipboy.

I you just switch to inventory you don't need to exit to see the rolls. I always roll 10 at a time and hit square (Playstation) and that shows all the attributes as you scroll through.

imo id go for overeaters or vangard for full health. and just for giggles if you get a spare set of troubleshooters keep it. its so much fun at sheep event stading there taking next to zero damage lol

Overeaters would be good, Troublehooter is very helpfull, or ignore the 1st effect and watch out for 2nd/ 3rd effects like AP-refresh, Sentinel, Poison-resitance or whatever appels to you.

i have a set of unyielding cav plus rad resistance that I made about 3 years ago during the exploit. In fact I have all the old dream sets of all the then meta prefixes. My account was never banned but once they eliminated explosive energy weapons I quit the game. Are all those old threee star prefix sets still any good?

not worth it: you need around 10 times the materials to get Unyielfing and the propper 3rd effect, so rather have a set of random unyielding/ Intelligence Armor wich you equip for Power-leveling-

Trying to roll unyielding armor is like trying to roll a quad railway rifle. You’ve gotta go through like over 100 rolls before you get something that’s worth it but if you’re persistent, it usually pays off

I finally managed a full set of unyielding thorn a good while back, the 2nd and 3rd effects are pretty poor on every piece but crafting for a better set is a rabbit hole I’m in no hurry to disappear down again any time soon.

Once again Turtle hurts his hands and fingers, so you don't have to. It looks like If i want to get Unyielding Thorn Armor, my best bet is to just make it occasionally when I have the materials, and not stress over it and just go oh well when it isn't UY. TY Turtle for another great video.

This is the downside of FO76 in my opinion.. I tried to go for a full set of UNY/AP/SENT SS armor but after over 1000 total rolls (1-4 rolls per day spread out on 5 characters) in ~1 years time resulting in only 1!!! Single piece, i gave up and traded some weapons for a set instead. It was such a waste of time and after i realized it i quit for over a year and just recently came back.
