Sam and Sue, you have a very few experts, sitting in their Jason recliners, telling you what you should be doing and how you should be doing it!!! Sage advice I'm sure!! But how many of these "Ex-spurts" would be motivated enough to get off their arses, and do a quarter of what you two have done... The fact that you have 15,000 subscriptions after only 5 months can only mean that people love your videos....... My wife and I, admire you both, your adventures and your humour and the fact that you include the bad with the good.... My expert advice to you both is to 'Ignore the dickheads'
@stevenfogerty21102 ай бұрын
@loughman2629 champion, I'm a full-time live aboard sailor. My comments are on the money. Sam is not only a risk to himself, his crew, and those who rescue him. He is a danger to other boat users. It is clear he has no real understanding of how bars work, how tide impacts their motion nor does he understand charts and how to use them. He can, of cause, ignore this feedback and continue to risk lives or can take it on board and get some training. Dickhead.

@@stevenfogerty2110 correct!! I still have a coxswain's ticket from when I worked on the water as a fishing guide in the NT and the Kimberley, where help is a heck of a long way away. I have found them to be both quite frustrating with their ineptness and contempt for safety but hey, he's ten-foot tall and bulletproof and will not take on board any advice from those more experienced. You treat mother ocean with the utmost respect and care, at all times, because as you know, she will get you the moment you drop your guard. The blatant disregard of, and complacency towards the rules of navigation they have shown resulted in him putting her on the rocks. Village performance!! You only do that if you don't know what you're doing. As Charlie Munger said; "Ignorance and stupidity are standard human conditions..." They got what they deserved... and I would most definitely not go to sea with him as skipper. Watching the grounding video all I could think was... 'more money than brains...' They should get a skipper to deliver her back to home port before something really bad happens.
