He was one of the very few who could actually do good improv. He would walk in and own the scene and his character, not just stand there like a deer in the headlights desperately fumbling to come up with a funny answer to the feed lines. Josh Lawson was the other one who could do this well.

I mean the premise of the skit seems like they were making fun of chauvinists, but he clearly took it too far. Not only did he not stop when the buzzer went (probably didn't hear), but he probably should have done a bit more miming and a bit less practical acting for the final bit. As they said it likely violated broadcast rules meaning they would get a warning or risk getting taken off air. So even back then, it was not acceptable, as it shouldn't be.

Not familiar with this actor and I mean no disrespect to him personally but am I the only one that found this scene super baseline and amateurish? "Horny womanizing cad" is such a tiresome go-to for straight dudes doing improv, and TBH I really didn't feel like the two women sharing the scene with him felt safe or comfortable with the material he was throwing at them.

Yeah its a disappointing trend with this show. Many of the skits are very funny, but it is often a strain to look past a lot of it.
