@@nj0377 I doubt that, Mad as Hell on the ABC has been running concurrently with his gigs on 9 for a fair while

@@TheFoolishNutter He did a show just last year on 10, though. And one of the main things about Thank God You're Here was that it managed to get people in from other networks to feature.

After years of watching HYBPA it's very weird to see Ed as an 'extra'
@TheFoolishNutter Жыл бұрын
The most difficult ‘extra’ job you could ever have! Especially in skits with performers like Micallef who delight in letting chaos reign

I love Shaun but what is love more is for the theme to change Hoodoo Guru songs from Come Anytime to something way better ‘What’s My Scene?’ As they don’t know the scene before walking in.

I love Shaun Micallef being absurd and a bit bawdy. I miss that from Australian tv. That style of humour was once a hallmark of our society, but it disappeared around the 1990s, and everyone got so conservative & offended by everything. Comedians on TV play it too safe now. Very American style.
@Death-999 Жыл бұрын
...You do realise this show aired after the 1990s? You literally disproved your own argument. Fail.

Casual misogyny still taking pot shots at Mother-in-laws 🤷🏽♀️
@Walperion_Music Жыл бұрын
Yes loved this show was really fun in 2010s but now all the misogynystic jokes are so noticeable! Almost half of the guests were making them just mere 10 years ago, weird to think huh!
@Death-999 Жыл бұрын
@@Walperion_Music If you were perpetually offended back then you would have noticed it then. You now thrive off being offended so any joke you see that you can call offensive you do so. It's boring now, move onto something new.
@Walperion_Music Жыл бұрын
@@Death-999 Sorry you must have misread my tone, I don’t care about misogynystic jokes I also find this fashion of being offended annoying, I’m I just noticed in a way like “funny how now OTHER people could constitute these jokes as iffy. And spoil good comedy”. I’m glad they are returning, the first ep of the first season was fun!

Yeah or kissing/fondling the actresses like they do would never happen now
@chookinathunderstorm3446Ай бұрын
@Walperion_Music The difference here is Shaun is making fun of misogynistic jokes that were made way back and alluding to such jokes that were made by English comedians right up into the 70's and those shows being on repeat on TV dwindling into the 80's. It's the English setting he is working with there. ON THE BUSES was the worst for me. Also those English stand up sleazy, boozy comedians with repetitive mother in law material. Shaun's comedic style is known for highlighting what is ridiculous and distasteful outdated thinking, about certain subjects, still held onto by dinosaurs, by going OTT dark incisive on them.
