To anyone bashing him for quitting the show: look at how many young people have had their lives ruined thanks to Hollywood and the limelight. Sure, there are plenty who managed to grow up just fine, too. But for some people, it's just not the right decision. He was a kid, leaving the show was obviously the best course of action for him. He should not be shamed for his decision, regardless of the reason. Put yourself in his situation, or his parents, would you want your kid to continue being a part of something if they didn't feel it was right? I would hope not, despite the massive financial gain, it's not worth being miserable. And I would say he deserves to keep his money, since he is the one who worked for it, after all. Let's say one day you quit your job because you disagree with the way the business operates, would you give the money you made away just because you don't want to work there anymore? Of course not. I wouldn't say you're a hypocrite just for having a change of heart. He was still very young when he made the remarks about the show being filth (which, imho it is, and the content isn't appropriate for children so Angus even starring on the show was inappropriate, imho) because he was so young, it appalls me how people judged him so harshly. To all of the people who are ridiculing him: I suppose none of you ever made unwise decisions, were naive about certain things, or said things that would be considered irrational while in your youth? I guess you've all lived perfect lives, and if you have made mistakes, you aren't famous so no one found out about it. Sadly, Angus is famous, and he didn't choose that path for himself because he was a child when introduced to acting. And he got away from the organized religions, so no cults either. People just try to be more understanding of people and this world would be a better place.

@mairead1929 жыл бұрын
Pansy Flower 1. Approx. $15 million2. Firstly, it was good of him to show up in the last episode. He was a main character in Two and a Half Men and if he was in the show for 10 years, don't you think it would be decent to just show your face for a lousy couple of minutes towards the end? It's a nice way to repay the loyal viewers who have been watching the show for 10+ years. Secondly, like many actors, Jones didn't just sit on his pile of money and burn dollar notes. I think the most recent charity work he's been involved in is some anti-bullying movement. And finally, he already admitted that he was a hypocrite to be on the show, that's why he wanted out. Look, don't get me wrong. Regardless of Jones' view, I'm still going to like Two and a Half Men. I find this sudden change in his personality and beliefs odd and his religious group seems a bit cult-like but who are we to judge? Also, like Shamus said, Charlie wanted to come back but the pay-check he desired was refused by Chuck Lorre.

In all honesty, the older I get the more of a fairy tale I start to think this whole religion thing is. If God is so great, why must we fear him? If God is so great, why must we praise him like slaves in hopes of going to a place we don't even know exists for sure. Give me some proof to grasp onto, then maybe I'll put some faith in religion. But besides that, I feel like it's modern day, self-inflicted slavery lol. And one might argue they enjoy to worship God and etc, but only for the hope of getting into heaven. Wow that guy has seriously been brainwashed on so many levels. Religion has made his into a lunatic.

You can't be angry with something that doesn't exist. One cannot feel any sentiment towards something or someone that is nonexistent. It really is that simple. And I'm not little, I'm a grown-ass adult.

Perfect example of a Hollywood kid thinking they are the shit because of being apart of Hollywood, therefore they can be as obnoxious or crazy or douchey as they want. It's their "transformative"state. And all he has to say is the Frankie Munez defense. I'm rich. I like that my parents used me to have a platform. But I'm mad because now I've developed my own beliefs and I'm worth a damn. If you wanna be cynical pay the parents for getting their chubby kid into the audition studios.

Married with Children and Three's Company people all turned out to be more ok, some people just had everything handed to them and having had it too good for too long.

Angus probably slowly realized how filthy the show was as he got older. He ‘caught on.’ Started out being an innocent kid, oblivious to the shows “mature” nature. I don’t think anyone made his realization for him. I don’t think anyone made him speak out against the very show he stars in. I sincerely doubt he had to be influenced into the realization that 2 and ½ is “filthy”. Therefore Angus was not “brainwashed”. You’re making an unfair generalization to say he's been brainwashed.

I don't think two and a half men is a show geared towards children and i think adults can make up their own minds about what "filth" is. the problem is not that he is expressing his concerns about the show, the problem is that his actions might have an effect on other people employment. if people aren't' watching the show, the ratings go down and the show gets cancelled, and people lose their jobs. by the way, he doesn't tell his boss anything to his face, he does it on video. shows real courage

The "Two and a Half Men" Curse has begun! The actors that made the show work are leaving one after another! First, Charlie, then the show's brilliant comedic writing, now Jake!

It seems that the character and the actor share a similar level of intelligence.

I won't judge you for being an atheist. So don't judge people for not sharing the same beliefs as you. Its quite simple, really.

To all those saying that he should be fired, that's probably exactly what he wants since he can't get out without breaching contract.
@srugel4412 жыл бұрын
There is not a contract ever written that cannot be broken, especially if he is claiming to be morally offended by the content. If he really has any integrity, he'll take the millions he already saved and just leave. What can they possibly do to him? He'll still collect his royalties the rest of his life, too. Don't be naive. It's not admirable to whine if you can't refuse the money.

First off, anyone that says that the Seventh Day Adventist religion is a cult are idiots. Do some research before speaking of matters you know nothing about. Secondly, I am extremely proud of Angus Jones for speaking up for his faith, and against his job. It is very hard, for someone making $350,000/episode and bound by contractual obligations, to speak against them. As a Seventh Day Adventist myself, I know the struggle, and I applaud his courage and integrity. Praise God keep it up!!

I personally do not like Two and a Half Men and I think he is doing a good thing in warning us not to watch a show with a bad message. Though I can also see how you would think he is being very disrespectful. So in this argument, I think I'd have to go both ways.
@EyrtheFyre12 жыл бұрын
I see a lot of comments here about how Angus "shoulda, woulda, coulda" whatever- basically holding his past actions against him now that he's speaking out and trying to make up for his mistakes. Well haven't we all done things we regret? But we are NOT our past and people can and DO change. For those of you who feel trapped by your circumstances, there is HOPE. God gave Angus the strength to change and be a new man. You can too. Ask for God to set you free, ask for His strength. It will happen.

But what is the real harm in having heros as a kid and wanting to be like them? When I grew up I had a lot of heros, my grandfather, certain musicians and actors. They all did great things and now I own my own business and play music, and I did it all myself because I was motivated by them. Yes, I DID wanna be just like them and it made me happy knowing I was. The problem today, is we're waking up for a long state of emulating the wrong people and having the wrong heros. Things work out ;)
