Without a doubt, the most transformative Cho practice I have heard...chanting by the nuns is a main part of the sadhana, and Ani-la is sublime...Tuk Ji Che, Sacred Ani

The Buddha explains how to free the mind. lust in eyes, ears, nose, tongue, body, and mind is the six strings that bind the mind. cut off those 6 strings. we will gradually untie ourselves. Because we like something, we will suffer because of things we don't like. the dislike is born of the likes. so happiness is the cause of suffering. get rid of happiness, suffering will leave us. Without lust, disappointment will leave us

Get rid of happiness? Why? I practise buddha dharma to be happy, n it is achieved by giving up attachment to all phenomena. I still enjoy all pleasures in life but without attachment, but with the awareness that all phenomena in samsara are in the nature of suffering mainly bcos of impermanence, hence unsatisfying. If any one follow your way of cutting happiness, there will be many unhappy buddhist walking around teaching folks to be unhappy.

“Above all, be at ease, be as natural and spacious as possible. Slip quietly out of the noose of your habitual anxious self, release all grasping, and relax into your true nature. Think of your ordinary emotional, thought-ridden self as a block of ice or a slab of butter left out in the sun. If you are feeling hard and cold, let this aggression melt away in the sunlight of your meditation. Let peace work on you and enable you to gather your scattered mind into the mindfulness of Calm Abiding, and awaken in you the awareness and insight of Clear Seeing. And you will find all your negativity disarmed, your aggression dissolved, and your confusion evaporating slowly like mist into the vast and stainless sky of your absolute nature.” ― Sogyal Rinpoche, The Tibetan Book of Living and Dying

@krsnapunk You are correct to a point, but it should be added that the purpose of the Chöd ritual is to cut through ego-clinging and dualistic fixation. "Chöd" (གཅོད་) means "to cut." We offer the body as a relative act of compassion, which can be utilized for healing, land-blessing, etc., but the real meaning is to cut through our self-clinging. Also, Machig Labdron was not Padampa Sangye's consort. She received some teachings from him, but there's no evidence that they ever consorted.

Hi, Did you find the Kingdom of Shambhala? It's at Lo Mantang. I researched the Ngorpa School Kalachakra text and found that kingdom. I also studied Tibetan for five years at Paris University. Are you interested? Derge and Jyekundo kings are related to the Keun (འཁོན) family by marriage! I'm related to Princess Ragnhild of Norway. Prince Peter of Greece and Denmark arranged for the Dalaï Lama to get the Nobel Prize. Peter spoke Tibetan and lived in Kalimpong for many years.
