@@coolman932actually not even, you get plat 3 max as a first rank in (for 5 mvp wins in a row, regardless of lobby rank). ascendant is possible if you are immortal+ before a reset. diamond on console as a first rank in is probably as a way to disperse ranking levels so that not everyone is bronze.
