Tbh, she's probably the type of person who'd laugh at you for only just noticing it but will tell you you're just fine for who you are. She isn't exactly the type of person who'd butter you up. She's blunt and frank but she's probably the best person to be your friend since she's seeing you for who you are and not the person who you want to project, keeping you grounded and reminding you of your real self. At least that's how I see her character.

It's not like there are many women who are into fighting to the death, granted there COULD be, but it's not a con nor a pro. Also, girls in Baki aren't as explored as the fighters, sure, but well, that is to be expected in a anime about fighting, and it's not like they have no character at all, Baki's girlfriend stood against Hanayama at one point, which many male characters failed to do through the series. Jack's mother was a top tier soldier working undercover in order to capture fucking YUJIRO HANMA, which if you ask me, is not a depiction of a weak woman or a "token". In fact, given their physical prowess female characters have shown more courage than the fighters themselves .-. PS: Nobara is the best, fucking love this character :)

At the same time, she also isn't an asshole. A pit fall of a lot of characters like these is that they need to talk down to others to prove they're "strong" which could be a good start of an arc except they are never called out on it. She's not really mean spirited, just blunt. And she's not above having goofy moments or getting called out for things Gonna be honest, I didn't like her the first three minutes but after a while, I began to see who she really was and she began to grow on me. Anyone with a commitment to honesty is alright in my book

I don't think being in love destroys character. It's just that some people have no idea what realistic relationships are like. Loving someone dose not mean that we give up on our own dreams and ambitions. There is no drastic change in personality in a healthy relationship. That being said I am not much of fan of romance, so I want as minimalistic romance as possible.

There's a cute little detail about Nobara's past that I just noticed. When Panda asked Megumi and Nobara to participate in the Kyoto Sister School exchange event, Nobara asks if they're going to play Smash Bros. And says that she will meteor smash her rivals so they won't return to the platform. MILD SPOILER In Nobara's flashback during the Shibuya incident, you can see Nobara playing Smash Bros. With Fumi's dad and he teaches Nobara to not let her opponent return to the platform.

She embraces being feminine while also being a complete badass, and reminds us that people can and are embodying these traits together in the world.
