You're right, it's really surprising! I've been servicing them for years.

The way you popped that hub motor open around 9:45 made it look too easy for me. I've been trying to open mine for the past few months! I've been using a hammer to bang the thing out, still no budge. I'm at 4900 miles and yes this my first service. When you placed the pin clips in before the gears, on my other electric bike it keeps sliding out as i put the darn thing in. I will definitely try that this weekend. Also, I have seen other videos that your supposed to remove all the spokes. (I'm horrible at wheel truing.)

Hi Kurtis, yes it can seem daunting, but know worries, it is really a simple process. As for removing the spokes, That is not something you need to do unless, you hit a curb ro something hard and possible either warp your wheel of bent your spoke (spoke's). Glad the video helps and if you have any question down the line, please reach out okay. Thank you Kurtis

Thank you for posting the link for the gear puller. Your video is by far the most descriptive when it comes to maintaining your motors, and you didn't even have to speak much. Very informative and well done. I first came across your channel last night and immediately subscribed. I have both the A8 and A9 dual motor.

Matthew, that is absolutely the best comment I have received. Myself, i love taking video and I knew that if the video was sharp in 4k, with close up shots, it would be easy to follow. You are awesome Matthew, have fun on the Aniioki and if you ever encounter a problem. Reach out, e bike tech back in 2004 for 4 seven yers. I got you.

Isn’t we-40 a de greaser. Wouldn’t that remove some of the grease in the bearings in the cogs?
@HebrewNomadOverlander8 күн бұрын
Yes it is a degreaser and no it does not remove the grease within the bearing because the bearing are sealed. The wd-40 works to loosen the white lithium grease making it easier to be removed. Than I replaced with fresh white lithium grease. Bike runs smooth as butter and no lound wine like prior

Where did you buy that Gear clamp tool? Please.
@HebrewNomadOverlander8 күн бұрын
Hello Browing, I have had it for roughly 7 years. Let me see if I can trace my order on amazon. If so, I will place the link here okay. Thanks for stopping by. Okay found it, here it is. amzn.to/4g0ZGuX

Are you sure it's ok to use WD-40 on Plastics? The planetary gears are made out of part plastic and part metal.
@HebrewNomadOverlander4 күн бұрын
Right From There Website: According to WD-40's information, yes, WD-40 is generally considered safe to use on hard plastic, as it can be applied to most plastics without causing damage; however, it's important to be aware that some types of plastic, like polycarbonate and clear polystyrene, may be sensitive to petroleum-based products like WD-40 and should be avoided. Key points about using WD-40 on plastic: Safe for most plastics: WD-40 states that it is safe for use on most plastics, including hard plastics. Check for compatibility: Always test WD-40 on a small inconspicuous area of the plastic first to ensure no adverse reactions. Avoid certain plastics: Be cautious with clear polystyrene and polycarbonate plastics, as they might be affected by WD-40's petroleum base.
