Catching up and streams and wow chat made diy tarantula island out to be so complicated for him lol. The purpose of clearing the island is the get rid of spawn points for other bugs (Trees, flowers, stumps) so that tarantulas are more likely to spawn. Weeds and holes are good to leave because they make it less likely for mole crickets to spawn since they cannot spawn under something. So leave as many as you can and in the event of multiple tiers, fill the top levels with holes and weeds. There are also a limited amount of spawn points for bugs at a time, so you just keep catching/scaring away other bugs so that inevitably a tarantula will end up in the rotation. They definitely nerfed them so it’s not as easy now, but it is certainly not that complicated.
