I actually really enjoyed this game. I played it with my mom a few times when it came out, and we had a fantastic time because she used to play the OG Animal Crossing with me when I was really little and used it to teach me how to read. She didn't really play any of the Animal Crossing games after it, but when this came out, she had an absolute blast seeing all the characters she used to love and seeing all the cute scenarios. Amiibo Festival definitely sucks, but it'll always hold a special place in my heart.

Seriously, Super Mystery Dungeon is a great game with some of the best mechanics in the entire series. That should not be included on a list of Nintendo games that lack quality. Sure its story is no Explorers of Sky, but everything else is top notch including just how easy it is to recruit Pokémon in that game

I didn't care for it as much, I felt like the game over-relied on looplets and emeras to the point where there was no sense of progression for my characters. I felt very weak every time I played the game, from start to finish.

@@PTp1ranha That's a fair assessment even though I feel like Super encourages you to build multiple teams for different dungeons more than any other game in the series. Items can be set to individual Pokémon instead of just team slots and the Looplets had a variety of secondary effects and number of emera slots so I ended up using a good variety of them. Yeah, the game relies heavily on Emeras, but I prefer that over the incredible amount of resource management you have to do in DX due to the lack of an Infinitackle.
