Animal Crossing New Leaf: How to make more than 2,000,000 bells a day.

Animal Crossing: New Leaf (named Animal Forest: Jump Out or とびだせ どうぶつの森: Tobidase Dobutsu no Mori in Japan) is the latest installment in the Animal Crossing series, released exclusively for the Nintendo 3DS. The player assumes the role of mayor of a new town[1], and with the help of the townsfolk and Isabelle, an eager secretary, it will be their job to make the town a better place to live[2]. Compared to previous installments, New Leaf's aesthetics are more realistic, with more human-proportioned characters and more realistic flora. New Leaf introduces the most new features since Animal Forest e+.
Animal Crossing: New Leaf was first revealed at the Electronic Entertainment Expo in 2010, and a trailer and screenshots were released on Nintendo's website following E3 2011 on June 7. The game came out in Japan on November 8th 2012, and was released in South Korea on February 7th 2013 and in North America on June 9th 2013. It came out in Europe on June 14th 2013. Both Australia and New Zealand shared the same release date of June 15th 2013. The game is the first 3DS title to sell over 3 million copies in Japan alone. New Leaf is also the first in the series available through Nintendo eShop digital download.

You should have kept the trees or at least two trees on the island because you can catch the giant beetle, rainbow beetle, and the scarab beetle which are worth at least 10,000. When your going for beetles on the palm trees try to go for the golden stag because I believe that one is worth 12,000. I think they're extra sensitive too so walk really, really slow.

for those who want to know, inching yourself very small steps at a time. having a period were you stop moving with every step in creeping. beatles never fly away. i can literally inch my character so close to the beatle my character clips inside the beatle. the only time i ever miss a beatle is if i dont aline my shot. just do up on the Analog. than release it, than quickly up again than quickly release. Wanting your footprints in the sand to be so close its like 2 lines in the sand, its really quick too. better than slow creeping w/ chance the beatle flys away

You can only really get 2 million Bells a day if you only catch Golden Stags (which are the rarest from my experience) and have Bell Boom ordinance enabled (which I don't do because it also increases the price to buy items as well as the fact that most villagers seem to not like it). Generally, you can make around 100,000 to 160,000 Bells per trip if you intend on catching other beatles. My only problem is that the beatles sometimes don't spawn so I have to go inside the building and then back out in order to spawn more beatles as well as the fact that this method can take around half an hour per visit which I don't have the patience for. Also, in the Welcome amiibo update, it seems that the hitbox on the net has changed so it's harder to catch insects (for example, I sometimes accidentally hit the top of the tree with the net and beetle flies away).

You forgot about Napoleonfish. They also have giant shadows and sell for 10k, same as the Blue Marlin. So they're also worth keeping.

The blue marlin actually has a bigger shadow than the sea bass; it's a bit narrower too. Go for Napoleonfish as well, same size, same price. Basically just go for narrow but huge shadows and finned shadows. You can sell less valuable fish to Leila, like sea bass or even sunfish. It's better than tossing them up, and refreshes the spawning when you leave the outside of the island.

Another useful tip! When catching beetles you should watch how the bug moves from side to side. If it stops moving stand still and wait for it to start again, pretty much guaranteed to stop from scaring them away constantly. :)

A really easy way is to farm perfect fruit, I have enough perfect pear trees to fill up my inventory with full baskets of them, selling at retail (with bell boom) for around 120k, it's easy

Blue Marlins (and Napoleonfish who are also worth 10000) are the shadow size of Sharks without the fin, which is one size larger than a Sea Bass, NOT the same size of one. Also, on the non-palm trees, you can get Giant Stags (10000 bells) and Rainbow Stags (10000 bells), BUT that also leaving the spawn area of crap bugs (like Fruit Beetles, Saw Stags and the like), so I also would recommend cutting the trees in the middle down.

Just a tip about shadow size, blue marlins are actually the exact same shadow size as sharks and ocean sunfish, and when compared to the bass, are much slenderer and longer, while the bass shadow is short and chubby. (The shadow size for the bass is very large, while the others' is huge. Other huges are the oarfish and coelocanth) Another thing, the Napoleon fish (technically humphead wrass, but is enter as the former in the acnl index) is the exact same size as the marlin and is available at the time you should be going to the island, and sells for the same amount of bells, 10,000. guys i do this everyday its really nice source of money BUT DONT CUT THE TREES IN THE MIDDLE!!! rare bugs like rainbow stag might spawn and they are worth 10000 bells!! and also thge giant stag which only appear in those trees. Just scare the other bugs away!

Cyclommatus Stag is insanely easy to catch, in fact it is possible to run towards the thing and time correctly pressing A and catching it. I do it for fun every once in a while because it's only worth 8000 and they're fairly common.

Good video, though it's fairly obvious as soon as you arrive on the island that it's fantastic for making Bells. However there's a correction I need to point out. Blue Marlins are NOT the size of Sea Bass. Fish come in 7 different sized shadows, numbered from 1-7, smallest to biggest, with finned fish being size 7, though it's very obvious they're the biggest fish so you only need to remember and recognize sizes 1 through 6. Sea Bass are size 5 fish. Blue Marlins are size 6 fish. Their shadow is visibly larger than that of a Sea Bass shadow. If you spend enough time fishing you can eventually recognize the length difference between these two sizes and always catch Blue Marlin instead of Sea Bass. Another thing to note is that you can catch things other than Blue Marlin and Sea Bass from size 5 and 6 shadows on the island. The only other size 6 fish is Napoleonfish, which is also worth 10,000 Bells, so size 6 fish are always worth it to catch. The other size 5 fish you can catch are Ray, Moray Eel, and Giant Trevally. If you see any of these fish then you're catching the wrong shadows.

i find myself watching this again, however a good tip is when your on the island i would walk down the middle and then go up one side then go back down the middle then go up the other side so you dont scare any beetles away when you are going down the sides
