I finally returned to Animal Crossing New Leaf! Now that I'm a week into my new save, I decided to play 30 days to see how much progress I can make. And more importantly, see how much more fun it is compared to Animal Crossing New Horizons.

I kinda miss the grind of new leaf. NH just hands everything to me. Labeled approves any clothes I wear. They tell me who the missing item belongs to. The villagers don't interact with us much, shop only has one update. Idk... New leaf has cooler mechanics.

It's a shame that the fashion test isn't even challenging anymore. Gracie always gave me a hard time of passing it and I still loved it.

Its so jarring seeing Vis's character as a little white boy 😭 I'm not used to it lol. New Leaf was my first AC game but it's just strange remembering how there was so little diversity.

That is the worst things about NL, along with the villagers popping their houses down anywhere they please. You can go to the island and tan, but I got burned out trying to keep up with that.

I always go back to New Leaf. I don't know what it is about it. I feel like the progression-based rewards in New Horizons are just so lacking. They're both good games but I really hope they bring a lot of the features from NL back.

This is so fuuun! I got a 3ds xl this month and I finally got to play ACNL and Happy home designer, it has been so much fun knowing I actually have tasks to do and villagers have some personality and there is some progression for the game. I am kinda sad that I got it when the Nintendo online is down bc now there's no way to experience the online games which was the most exciting thing to me.. but maybe cough cough pretendo will have ACNL support soon. I started with Mitzi, Rosie and Blaire (and other meh ones) but this is the luckiest starting villagers I have gotten lol they're adorable. Loved the videoo

If you have a Happy Home Designer save, no matter the progress you've made in it, you can have an easier time moving furniture around which is kinda cringe considering you need to get another game just for a QOL feature
