Animal Crossing will always remind me of happier, simpler times. I grew up playing from Wild World and though I never played the Game Cube version, I always loved the songs and they feel equally nostalgic to me as the ones from Wild World and City Folk. I always put this video on when I studied in my senior year in high school in 2017, it made me enjoy doing homework and studying, it kept me off my phone from talking with all my friends... Now I don’t really have any friends, or anything immediately validating like homework to do and it seems like I’ve lost momentum or something... Happy days seem harder to come by and more often than not I feel like I’m not doing enough even though I try with all that I can, and there’s nothing for me to look forward to. Yeah... life seemed so... different, so simple back then! But At least I still have Animal Crossing... something that will never change! ❤️

This music with the rain droplets sound effect in the background is just one of those harmonious things that make you feel cozy. I would put my mind to my villager and when I'd go back inside my house I'd feel the relief of coming in from being out in the rain to a warm room with a fireplace crackling to warm up to. It's no wonder with the amazing atmosphere of this game why I spent so much time playing it.

Being that i only got into Animal Crossing 2 years ago (going on 3 in December), i have to say, Nintendo hit a grand-slam on this music. Even before i knew what Animal Crossing was, i constantly listened to this song, trying to pick apart all the sounds. Now that i'm familiar with the game and it's soundtracks (I've "collected" most of the games. Emulated City Folk, Bought Wild World, Bought New Leaf, Borrows a switch to play New Horizons, and has Emulated Population: Growing!) i truly love how calming this music is. Thanks, 2001 Nintendo, for getting me through my life's low-point!

Thanks for having this uploaded. I'm in my third year of college but i miss the old days of Animal Crossing GC and Animal Crossing Wild World. I played both of those very heavily and got enjoy all they had to offer except for the online on the DS since it was usually hard for my wifi to work at times. A very simple concept in terms of the game, but so many memories have resulted for many people around the word. Crazy haha. I might just have to pick up where i left off in AC:WW on my original DS this semester at some point haha

You know, I didn't realize it until recently, but most of the Animal Crossing (in all games) hourly songs, are just remixed versions of the title theme. 12 PM and 1 AM in WW and CF sound similar to the title theme, IDK what this is, but it sounds similar to the title theme of GC aka Forest Life, and a few NL soundtracks are just remixed editions of the NL title theme. Weird how that happened.

That's actually pretty common in games. There's a reason behind it. Games have Main Themes that are most of the time instantly recognizable by the player. For example, check the Mario theme everyone knows, and it only takes the first 6 notes. Most main themes are easy to remember for this same reason: You hear a few notes, and you say "It's X game". However, if the Main Theme only appeared at one part of the game, it wouldn't be so recognizable. That's why composers add fragments of said themes into other songs of the game. Notable examples include Mario (not just the first Mario. Every Mario game with a different "Main Theme" also has bits of said theme in other songs of the game), Zelda, Metal Gear; and Animal Crossing, which has different themes for all games, but still adds them to the songs.

That was my favorite thing about rain in AC for gamecube. Feel like they copped out on some sound effects in new leaf. Even the snow crunch sounded better in the original.
