the person inside that "Bamboo Surprise" is actually Kaguya from that old Japanese folktale about a man who finds a woman inside of a bamboo. Okami took an exaggerated take on that tale and ended it with Kaguya using a bamboo rocketship to fly away from the world. It's totally an exaggerated version of that folktale at part of that game.
