+Marcus Chan Leno was the best when it came to animal segments. He let the people talk and was really hands-on with the animals. Same with Carson to a slightly lesser degree. Conan interrupts way too much. Fallon acts like a stuck-up, as-always phony idiot every time that moron Musial is out there, so both are horrible to watch, and Kimmel appears genuinely scared to death of the animals he has on.

conan's like the only comedian on tv who doesn't pretend to be deathly afraid of any and every animal just to get a laugh. don't get me wrong, i love jimmy fallon, jimmy kimmel, steve harvey, letterman and the rest, but i kind of hate that they always flip their shit whenever an animal is on the set - the experts are there to *improve* people's opinions of animals. if the comedians really are legit afraid, i feel sad that they can't appreciate animals in the way guys like conan and jim carrey seem to while still being funny. good job conan!

+MaiCohWolf Actually, one of the most often mentioned thing in all of these animal segments, is that these animals are meant to be in the wild, and should NOT be kept as pets. The others appreciate the animals, too, but they are more skilled in helping the wildlife conservationist pass on their message that the animals are wild.

People react to things differently, and some might think this teaches them to respect animals, but others might still think the other videos shows them that the animals are wild, and when even comedic talk show hosts aren't trying to interact with the animals, that they won't interact either. But most of the wildlife issues are growing because people are stressing the animals out by interacting/captivating these animals. I, personally, think the others work better at showing that.

I know this is a comedy show, but I'm sure people wouldn't mind to have just a little segment once in a while where an expert talks about some serious topics without being interrupted constantly. This show is really popular so it would be an excellent avenue for spreading information about animal welfare activity and how people can participate to help etc.

It does seem like conan is giving the expert a hard time spreading the message. I think he should support the expert informing of the animals' poor situation in the wild (even though this particular one is doing OK) rather than distract, as he would probably do when he talks about sickling chilldren or a death of a famous comedian. This is serious business.

I love the chemistry between David, Conan, and the animals. It seems like the other late shows just throw full-grown predators at the host and watch them freak out. David seems to only bring young or calm animals, and Conan is pretty good with the critters, so it's much more laid back, and you actually get to enjoy the animals and even learn a thing or two - even with Conan interrupting!
